Hometown Heroes initiative seeking another banner year

REEDSVILLE -- The Hometown Heroes banners in Reedsville sold so well in 2023, one might say it was a banner year.
All jokes aside, the program is certainly an exemplary initiative as it honors living or deceased military service men and women and first responders that live or lived in Reedsville.
"The program was a tremendous success this year and a waiting list was carried over from 2023," said Kay Semler, a volunteer with the Reedsville Community Association.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2024 Hometown Heroes banners. The deadline for applications is Friday, Dec. 1., for a limited number of streetlights that remain available.
Semler said the banners will be hung in March 2024 when the weather permits, and the current banners will be given to the 2023 sponsors next month.
To apply, email reedsvillecommunityassoc@gmail.com. The application contains all the information for the photograph requirements as well as other pertinent information.
