Set sail with paddleboard yogalates this weekend

Looking for something to do with family and friends this weekend? Check out these five events around the Juniata Valley:

1. Paddleboard yogalates

What do you get when you set sail on your paddleboard at Whipple Dam Lake and mix in a little yoga and pilates? Well, paddleboard yogalates, of course. Classes are held at Whipple Dam State Park, 3746 Laurel Run Rd., Petersburg, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., every Saturday in September and October. This one-hour class is open to all levels of fitness, and no previous experience is necessary. The last 30 minutes is for extra paddle time. 2. Design your team pennant

Stop by JC Penney from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday to design your team pennant at the Greater Lewistown Shopping Center, 224 N. Logan Blvd., Burnham. The Creative Arts Project promotion is free and designed for ages 4 and up. Kids get a free craft project, ID badge, lanyard, collectors pins. Only available during the one-hour window. All kids must be accompanied by a parent. Supplies are limited.

3. Keystone State Muscle Cars Weekly Cruise In

Gearheads will want to stop by Rec Park, 100 Cherry St., Lewistown, for the Keystone State Muscle Cars Weekly Cruise In from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday through the last weekend of October, weather permitting. Check out the street roads, classics, present muscle cars, imports and trucks. Free and open to all cars, trucks, bikes, etc. For more information, find their Facebook page.

4. The Evangel Church, 375 W. Fifth St., Lewistown, will host a sportsmen's banquet, starting at 3 p.m. Saturday. Bring your antlers or mounts to be professionally scored by the Pennsylvania Game Commission from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Meal served at 6 p.m., consisting of barbecue, macaroni and cheese, applesauce, drink and cake for dessert. Guest speaker will be Marc Jordan of the Pennsylvania School of Taxidermy. Free admission, but a freewill offering is accepted. Free door prizes. For more information, call (717) 437-3130. Registration recommended.

5. Free movie night at Reedsville UM Church

Join Reedsville United Methodist Church, 82 E. Logan St., Reedsville, for its free movie night at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. "My Daddy is in Heaven," starring Jenn Gotzon, Corbin Bernsen, Lorenzo Lamas and T.C. Stallings, will be shown. The film is about a mother who rediscovers her faith when her husband dies in a tragic accident. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
