Goose Day 2023 will be electrifying Friday night as the Drone Light Show lights up the skies about downtown Lewistown. Bark in the Park at Walker Township Park
Walker Township Park on Walker Township Park Lane in Mifflintown will be the site of the inaugural Bark in the Park on Saturday. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., enjoy a costumed pet parade, vendors, food, Chinese auction, games, and a visit from mascot Weavdog. Migrating birds, sunset paddle at Poe Valley
Fall might be in the air, but the programs are continuing at Poe Valley State Park, Penn Township, Centre County. A free "Migration! Who's Coming, Who's Going" is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Learn what birds will pass through the area and who typically leaves for the winter. At 6 p.m., join park staff for a leisurely sunset paddle on Poe Lake. Pink Out Weekend at Buttonwood
Support breast cancer awareness at Buttonwood Campground, located at 1515 E. River Road, Mifflintown, as officials will be raising money for Pink Hands of Hope. Last year, nearly $4,000 was raised for breast cancer research and awareness. For more information, visit www.buttonwoodcampground.com
