LEWISTOWN -- Now in its fourth year, the Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce Women's Bloom Conference has blossomed into an event that provides area women an opportunity to network, be empowered, and be a wee bit pampered.
"The demands on women are great and our presenters offer tips on how they can be the best version of themselves, reaching their full potential," said Rhonda Kelley, executive director of the Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce. "Topics covered include entrepreneurship, balancing family and career, physical and mental health as well as self-care.
The theme of this year's conference is "Live Life in Full Bloom," which will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday at the Hungry Run Distillery, 10 Ridens Rd., Lewistown. Doors open at 8 a.m. Limited seating is available.
The cost to attend is $90, which includes all sessions, continental breakfast, catered lunch, bouquet of flowers, complimentary cocktail, health screening, door prizes and vendor shopping.
A variety of speakers are scheduled to appear during each 45-minute session including:

• Kira Jerzerick, RN and inpatient psychiatric unit, Geisinger Lewistown Hospital
• Shelly Krohn, licensed professional counselor
• Tamela Hetrick, Shade Mountain Naturals
• Katie Aurand, Back Mountain Flower Farm
At 4 p.m., a mix and mingle will be held, with tastings and door prize giveaways.
