The Sentinel offers nonprofit and other community organizations an opportunity to promote upcoming events for free in the community calendar for three days before the event. Events requiring reservations may be promoted for up to two weeks before the reservation deadline.
Events that require a purchase from a for-profit business, even if a donation is made to the organization, are not eligible for the calendar.

• Milroy Hose Co. No. 1 spaghetti dinner -- 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23. Dine in or take-out. Dinner includes spaghetti, meatballs, toss salad, garlic bread, dessert and beverage. Cost is a donation. Reservations accepted but not required. To pre-order, call (717) 667-2388.
• McClure Veterans Memorial Pool Golf Tournament fundraiser -- Sept. 30, Lewistown Country Club. Register by Sept. 15 by calling (570) 850-1320 or (717) 439-6841 or emailing vmpoolgolf@gmail.com. Registration includes green fees, cart and meal. Event is held rain or shine. Information can be found on the pool's Facebook page.
