Beatty picked up on arrest warrant

LEWISTOWN — On Monday, Aug. 7, officers from the Lewistown Police Department served an arrest warrant to Susan Beatty, 59 through Lewistown at Magisterial District Judge Miller’s office. Police said she was found on the 100 block of West Market Street.

According to the report, Beatty, of Lewistown, was taken into custody without incident and is being held in Mifflin County Correctional Facility after being unable to post bail.

Police respond to theft

McVEYTOWN — Troopers from Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a complaint of theft at about 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, West Mountain Road.

According to the report, $2,280.24 was stolen from a 56-year-old McVeytown man’s bank account.

Police are still investigating.

Police investigating harassment

MIFFLINTOWN — Officers from the State Police at Lewistown responded to the report of a possible harassment at about 8 p.m. July 29, on Swamp Road.

The incident is currently under investigation.

Police: plants stolen from greenhouse

LEWISTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a at 3 p.m. July 19 on US highway 522 South, Oliver Township, regarding a possible theft.

The report states that a male and female were seen removing plants from a greenhouse and then driving away in a 2013 Toyota Tacoma.

Four plants valued at $45 were taken.

According to police there are suspects, but criminal charges were not pursued.

Disorderly conduct charges filed

MIFFLINTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown investigated disorderly conduct at about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9. on state Route 35 North.

The report states Ian Neff, 36, of Selinsgrove, had charges filed through Magisterial District Judge Tracy Powell’s office.

One injured in crash

MIFFLINTOWN — A Mechanicsburg man was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital to be treated for injuries sustained during a motor vehicle crash on US Highway 322, west about 20 feet west of Locust Run Road.

According to the report, at about 5 p.m. Aug. 10, Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown noted a 2012 Jeep Wrangler was traveling West on US Highway 322 West when the driver, 38-year-old Zachary Myers, lost control and drove off the left side, striking an embankment and rolled once before coming to its final position of rest on all four wheels.

The Jeep Wrangler sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was wearing his seat belt and sustained injuries.

Assisting on scene were Central Juniata Emergency Medical SVC, Mifflintown Fire, Thompsontown Fire, Port Royal EMS, Thompsontown EMS and Geedey’s Towing.

Victims of crash flee the scene

MILLERSTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police at Newport responded to a crash site at about midnight July 16.

According to the report, a 2013 Mercedes Benz driven by 26-year-old Logan Yeater, of Milroy, was traveling on US22 West and struck an embankment on the left hand side of the left lane.

The report states the vehicle traveled on the embankment before overturning an unknown amount of times before it reentered the left lane of the roadway on its left side, where it came to its final position of rest in the left westbound lane, completely blocking the left lane.

According to officers, Yeater, and passenger, Jacob Walters, 26, of Milroy left the scene prior to the officers arrival on scene.

The Mercedes Benz was towed from the scene by Edkin’s Towing. Assisting on the scene were trooper Jason Elliott and Millerstown Fire Department/EMS.
