Police: $40K stolen from home
McALISTERVILLE -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to the theft of $40,000 cash from an 82-year-old McAlisterville woman in Fayette Township.
State police are investigating.
Injuries sustained in Port Royal crash
PORT ROYAL -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon on state Route 75 South.
According to the report, the crash occurred at about 1 p.m. as a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, operated by Rodney Yoder, 75, of Port Royal, was stopped at the stop sign on Crossing Road.
The report states that the Chevrolet then proceeded to make a right hand-turn onto state Route 75 South, pulling out in front of a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu operated by Gabriella Alessio, 18, of Mifflintown, which was traveling approximately 60 mph, and unable to avoid a collision.
Both vehicles sustained disabling damage. Yoder reported that he was wearing a seatbelt and was uninjured. Alessio and passenger, Taylor Brown, 18, Port Royal, were not wearing seatbelts and reported to have possible injuries.
Two teens charged in DUI
MIFFLINTOWN -- At about 2 a.m. Sunday, two unnamed teens were contacted regarding a vehicle code on Lemon Street, Mifflintown.
Through investigation, it was found that the driver of a 2014 Dodge Chrysler was suspected of driving under the influence and the passenger was drinking under age. One teen was reported to be 17 and of Port Royal. The second teen was 18 and of Mifflintown. Police did not specify which individual was driving.
The investigation is ongoing, currently awaiting blood results.
Police respond to side by side theft
THOMPSONTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to the area of Long Hollow Road on July 22, for the report of a stolen, green 2019 Polaris Ranger 500 side by side.
