Sunoco cited for cigarette violation
LEWISTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown cited Sunoco on South Main Street on June 21 for selling tobacco to a minor when conducting checks at various locations.
A non traffic citation was filed against the business through District Court 58-3-01.
Stolen registration plate reported
HONEY GROVE -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are seeking information regarding a stolen registration plate.
According to the report, the license plate was taken from a residence on state Route 75 South/Mountain Drive. The report was filed at about 12:30 a.m. July 31.

Reedsville man charged
with fleeing police
LEWISTOWN -- According to a report from Lewistown Police Department, a traffic stop was conducted on the 100 block of West Market Street, Lewistown on July 29.
During the traffic stop, officers reported being interrupted by Michael Pegher, 45, of Reedsville, who then attempted to flee from the scene. Pegher was then tased and arrested. He was taken to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital and medically cleared, then to Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
Man cited for excessive noise
LEWISTOWN -- Lewistown Police Department responded to a call on Saturday to the 200 block of West Market Street for a report of a noise complaint.
According to the report, officers observed Isac Lopez, 25 of Lewistown, playing an amplified device in violation of borough ordinances.
Lopez was cited for the violation.
Man charged with possession
of a weapon and drugs
LEWISTOWN -- Lewistown Police Department were dispatched to a residence on South Grand Street after a report that 20-year-old Rylan Murphy, who had an active warrant out for his arrest, was at his home.
Upon arrival, police said a white man answered the door and repeatedly gave the officers false identification.
The male was later identified as Murphy, who was found to be in possession of brass knuckles, methamphetamine, fentanyl and other drug paraphernalia.
Murphy was arrested on his warrant and transported to Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
Criminal mischief investigation
MOUNT UNION -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a call at about 4 p.m. July 26, regarding a damaged windshield of a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, on Kistler Road and School Street.
The report states that police arrested an 18-year old male from McConnellsburg, a 17-year old female from Mount Union, a 17-year old male from Henderson Township, a 17-year old female from Orbisonia, an 18-year old male from Three Springs and a 17-year old male from Mount Union.
According to the report a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze was involved and police are still investigating.
Damage to the front windshield was estimated at $275.

Theft from Weis Store
MIFFLINTOWN -- Officers from Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to the report of a theft at 3 p.m. July 28 at Weis in Mifflintown.
According to the report, a 79-year old man attempted to shoplift multiple cold and frozen food items, valued at $126.49.
Retail theft charges were filed.
Brakes fail causing one injured
McVEYTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a crash at about 11:30 a.mm. Friday, July 28 on West Furnace Road.
The crash occurred as a 1996 Yamaha XV1100 driven by 74-year-old Barry Clark, of McVeytown, was traveling south on West Furnace Road. Police said he discovered his front brake had locked up causing him to lay the motorcycle down in the roadway.
The report states the driver of the motorcycle then fell off the motorcycle, sustaining minor injuries to both of his arms and left leg. The driver refused transport.
Officers reported that the driver was wearing a helmet. McVeytown EMS assisted at the scene.
