CareerLink to host recruitment event
BELLEFONTE -- PA CareerLink Centre County will host a Find-a-Job Friday, Aug. 11 event, featuring three government employers: Centre County Government, Pennsylvania Department of Corrections and the Pennsylvania State Police. The Job Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at PA CareerLinak's 240 Match Factory
location in Bellefonte.
Centre County Government has many openings, including Recorder of Deeds, Court Secretary, Assistant Public Defender, Deputy Sheriff, 911 Dispatcher, Community Planning Specialist, Drug and Alcohol Case Manager, Corrections Officer, Fiscal Technician and more. Job seekers with backgrounds are encouraged to talk to Centre County Government about their opportunities for employment.
The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections is hiring Food Service, Maintenance Foreman, Corrections Officer Trainees, Refrigeration Mechanics, Nurses, and more.
The Pennsylvania State Police is looking for patrol troopers. These candidates would start as PA State Police Cadets and once they successfully complete training at the police academy in Hershey, they would be promoted to the rank of trooper.
