The Sentinel offers nonprofit and other community organizations an opportunity to promote upcoming events for free in the community calendar for three days before the event. Events requiring reservations may be promoted for up to two weeks before the reservation deadline.
Events that require a purchase from a for-profit business, even if a donation is made to the organization, are not eligible for the calendar.

• Graceful Soles Shoe Bank -- 9 a.m.-noon, Grace United Methodist Church, 101 Logan St. in Lewistown. Children up to age 18 are given a free pair of shoes with verification of low income through medical assistance. Parent or guardian must accompany child.
• Crafterday -- 9 -11 a.m., Mifflin County Library, Lewistown branch, 123 N. Wayne St., Lewistown. Kay Wilcher will be teaching loom knitting. All supplies are provided. A $10 non-refundable fee will secure a spot. Information: (717) 242-2391.

• Tuscarora Academy Museum -- open 1:30 to 4 p.m.
• Beavertown Historical Society program -- 2 p.m., St. Paul's Reformed Church in Beavertown. The history of the Middleswarth Potato Chip Co. and family. Ted Herman will be the guest speaker. The program is free to the public.
•Outdoor concert -- 6:30 p.m., Beavertown United Methodist Church, 128 N. Orange St., Beavertown. Joe Bonson and Coffee Run will perform rain or shine. Bring a lawn chair. Light refreshments will be provided after the concert.
