LEWISTOWN - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's Mifflin and Juniata County Maintenance Division announced the following work schedule through Friday, weather permitting.
Motorists should travel with extra caution in these and all work areas. Motorists should be aware that due to the nature of highway maintenance and emergency work, crews could be working on any highway at any time of the day or night.
Mifflin County
Spray Patch:
State Route: 655 (Allensville to Belleville)
State Route: 4006 (Barrville to Armagh)
Bridge Repair:
State Route: 1001 (Nagney Quarry Road)
Sign Repairs and Upgrades:
State Route: 2001 (Long Lane)
Pipe Replacement:
State Route: 1002 (New Lancaster Valley Road)
The following work is scheduled to be completed by contractor:
Juniata County
Bridge Replacement:
State Route: 2012 (Leister Valley Road)
Shoulder Cutting:
State Route: 2014 (Lauver Valley Road)
State Route: 2018 (Dressler's Ridge Road)
State Route: 2022 (Quaker Run Road)
Pipe Replacement:
State Route: 1003 (Tennis Park Road)
State Route: 1005 (Leonard Holl Road)
State Route: 2015 (Swales Road)
The following work is scheduled to be completed by contractor:
HRI Inc. - Demolition, wing and abutment footers, water and sewer line replacement.
State Route 75: Demolition of existing railroad arch bridge. Detour remains in place. Please follow detour signs. PennDOT asks that unauthorized personnel stay away from the work site.
HRI, Inc. - Bridge replacement project spanning Locust Run along Route 3002 (Old 22 Road/Main Street), about two miles west of Thompsontown in Walker Township.
State Route 3002: The contractor has closed the road at the intersection of Old 22 Road/Main Street and Route 2007 (Locust Run Road.) Traffic is detoured onto Route 22 via either Route 75 at the Port Royal interchange or Route 333 at the East Salem/Thompsontown interchange.
