Workplace dispute results in charges filed
MIDDLEBURG -- Police responded to a call on Monday at 5754 state Route 522, property of Real Estate Development LLC.
According to a report issued by Middleburg Police Department, Timberland Javonte' Shelton, 23, of Albany, Ga. and Kendrick Ra'Shay Bond, 33, of Windsor, N.C., engaged in a workplace dispute while working for a subcontractor providing solar power services for Real Estate Development.
The report states that Shelton retrieved a handgun from a vehicle and discharged it toward Bond. Bond fled on foot and was taken into custody at Weaver's Archery.
Shelton was treated and released at Evangelical Hospital for a leg injury. Both Bond and Shelton were taken into custody and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Bo Trawitz.
According to the report, Bond posted bail for $5,000.
Shelton was held in Snyder County Prison with no bail conditions and was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of firearm without license, reckless endangerment of another and simple assault. Shelton was committed to Snyder County Prison on no bail conditions.
Middleburg Police were assisted by Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove, Snyder County Sheriff's office, Selinsgrove Borough Police Department, Kreamer Fire Department and paramedics from Middleburg and Selinsgrove fire departments.
McVeytown woman charged in DUI
BURNHAM -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown conducted a traffic stop on a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze at about 11:30 p.m. June 6 on West Freedom Avenue.
Police said the operator of the vehicle -- an unnamed 42-year-old female from McVeytown -- was determined to be under the influence of alcohol.
Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Reed's office.
DUI charges filed against Gettysburg woman
MOUNT UNION -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a report of a disabled vehicle 1:55 a.m. on June 15 along US Highway 522 South. It was determined that an unnamed 41-year-old woman from Gettysburg, operating a 2011 Ford Escape, was under the influence of alcohol. She was charged through Magisterial District Judge Kent Smith's office.
