McVeytown UMC to host 'food truck party'
McVEYTOWN -- Vacation Bible School food truck party, "On a Roll with God," will be July 16-20 (Sunday through Thursday) from 6-8:30 p.m. at the McVeytown UMC (tan church on Queen Street). Bible School for ages 3 through 8th grade from 6-8:30 p.m. Prayer Room open for adults on July 17. Check the McVeytown United Methodist Facebook page for updates. Career fair held in Bellefonte
BELLEFONTE -- PA CareerLink Centre County will hold a job fair next week that will feature local employers.
According to a news release, State College Design and Construction, Pennsylvania Sawmill and Envinity will be on site to talk to jobseekers.
The fair will be held 10 a.m. to noon July 21 at PA CareerLink, 240 Match Factory Road, Bellefonte.
State College Design and Construction works with upper end, custom projects that require a high level of skill and attention to detail as well as great customer service. They are looking for a Finish Carpenter with four or more years of experience including tile laying, cabinet installation and trim carpentry. They also have an opening for a CAD drafter.
Pennsylvania Sawmill, a rustic workshop in Spring Mills, is looking for methodical and reliable woodworkers who have an eye for detail and a focus on quality. Some experience is necessary, but most will be acquired on the job. They are also hoping to find an administrative assistant, a CDL A truck driver and CAD drafter.
Envinity is an energy conservation, efficiency and generation company. Their Design and Construction group is seeking entry-level and experienced carpenters as well as solar installers.
The Job Fair is free and open to the public. No appointment necessary. Walk-ins welcome.
