McALISTERVILLE -- The Fayette Community Carnival will be in full swing next week -- spanning from Aug. 1-5.
This event will benefit the Fayette Fire Company, the Fayette Lions Club and the Fayette Township Community Association.
The carnival will include Amusement rides by Bartlebaugh's Amusement Inc., bingo, a chinese auction, food, music and vendors nightly.
Wristbands will be available at a discounted price at The Creme Stop and at Rosewood Markets.
The food menu for the week is as follows: Tuesday: Soup and sandwiches; Wednesday: Turkey sandwich meal; Thursday: ham loaf meal; Friday: Roast beef meal; Saturday: Chicken barbecue meal.
On Wednesday, a firework show will light up the night, beginning at 10 p.m.
On Friday, there will be a cornhole tournament. Registration will be available from 5:30 to
6:15 p.m. and bags will fly at 6:30 p.m.
On Saturday, the 28th annual vehicle show will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Registration for the car show will be $10, or the cost is $15 the day of the show.
There will be goody bags, a 50/50 drawing, and door prizes. There will also be a Country Living Parade, with registration beginning at 1 p.m. and running until 3:30 pm, and the parade stepping off at 4 p.m. A chicken barbeque will also be held on Saturday.
Additionally, there will be limited edition McAlisterville Soldiers Orphan School T-shirts for sale.
The event will take place at 137 School Street, in McAlisterville.
