Third Friday emerges in Reedsville

REEDSVILLE -- Reedsville's growing community has inspired a celebration of local businesses every third Friday of the month.
Third Fridays is an opportunity for businesses in Downtown Reedsville to expose their services and connect with members of the community.
The event is just what the community needed, according to Kay Semler, representative of the Reedsville Community Association.
The first Third Friday event was held in May.
"The Community's reaction to the first Third Friday and to Reedsville in general was how nice and quaint the town looks and how much they enjoy the small shops and businesses. The childrens' activities make Third Friday a family friendly event," she said.
Local businesses such as East End Coffee, The Reedsville Creamery, Revival Kitchen, Toot's Place, Rubles Concessions and Michele's OIP, all participated in providing activities and special promotions to families and friends in the community.
With future Third Fridays on the horizon, Reedsville's community plans to continue the festivities.
"Great weather and turnout made the first event a success and sparked enthusiasm for future Third Fridays," said Semler. "The businesses will continue to have some sort of individual or combined activities and look forward to visitors socializing, eating, and shopping their way through town."
Live music, raffles, food, and family fun are all provided on every Third Friday on Main Street in Reedsville.
