Embassy Fair set for June 6-10

BURNHAM -- There's something about rides, carnival food and games that many find enjoyable during summer outings.
The 26th Annual Embassy Fair has it all and this year will be held at the former Burnham Jamboree Fairgrounds (Hilltop Ballfields) from June 6-10.
Embassy Fair Coordinator Paul Fagley believes this year's fair will be just as popular as previous years.
"I think there is also a nostalgia angle -- as parents and grandparents bring their kids and grandkids, bringing fond memories of attending carnivals when they were young. The sights, sounds and smells evoke strong emotional responses."
In previous years, the Fair was held at Kish Park, however, it was again moved to the Jamboree Fairgrounds due to scheduling conflicts.
This year's live entertainment line-up includes:
• Tuesday, June 6 -- 7 to 9 p.m. - Cryptic Rites
• Wednesday, June 7 -- 7 to 9 pm - Samuel Price
• Thursday, June 8 -- 6 to 7 p.m. - Lady Patriots, followed 7 to 9 pm by LEG
• Friday, June 9 -- 7 to 10 p.m. - Mr. Jones and Me
• Saturday, June 10 -- 2 to 5 p.m. - Echoes, followed 7 to 10 p.m. by Mindspell
