McVEYTOWN -- A 43-year-old man is facing nine felony counts of illegal firearm and drug possession.
Corey Eugene Snyder, of Mount Union, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jack Miller Tuesday and is being held in Mifflin County Correctional Facility, unable to post $200,000 bail.
He was charged with nine counts of illegal firearm possession, two counts of altering a weapon, possession of a controlled substance and related misdemeanor drug offenses.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Snyder arrived at Mifflin County Adult Probation at about noon May 12.
According to the report, Snyder's probation officer stated that he posted a Facebook video of himself "waving a firearm around."
Officers obtained a search warrant on a residence where he stays about three times per week and located suspected cocaine and a conversion kit for a 9 mm handgun.
Officers were also granted a search warrant for Snyder's residence and found multiple rounds of ammunition, suspected cocaine, suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a handgun, a set of brass knuckles and a gun safe.
A search warrant of the gun safe was also granted.
In total, eight firearms were seized from the safe, one being a sawed-off shotgun with a barrel length of 12.5 inches. Also seized were two bank check books with Snyder's name on them.
Snyder is awaiting a preliminary hearing set for 9 a.m. May 24.
