Police seek information in burglary
REEDSVILLE -- Mifflin County Regional Police were dispatched to Michelle's OIP on South Main Street, Reedsville just after 12:15 a.m. May 21 for the report of a burglary.
Officers reported observing a forced entry into the restaurant through the front door and a witness who contacted police. The witness indicated a male fled the area in an unknown passenger car, traveling north on South Main Street toward the traffic signal.
Police are asking businesses or residents with video surveillance along Main Street, Reedsville to check for footage for a vehicle traveling the area between midnight and 12:25 a.m. Regional officers are working with Pennsylvania State Police-Lewistown as the investigation continues. Police said other businesses were also burglarized.
Reedsville man cited with theft
REEDSVILLE -- Mifflin County Regional Police were dispatched to Toot's Place in Reedsville at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the report, store employees reviewing video surveillance observed 19-year-old Timothy Henry Jr., of Reedsville, taking merchandise and not paying for it. According to the report, Henry has several other convictions for retail theft. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Kent Smith's office.
Police investigate stolen vehicle
BURNHAM -- Mifflin County Regional Police were dispatched to Upper Fernwood Avenue, Derry Township at about 5:15 p.m. May 23, for the report of a stolen vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers learned that sometime between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m., an unknown individual removed a 2004 Ford F150 pickup truck from the yard of a residence in the area. Investigation revealed that the home was burglarized and firearms were stolen. The truck was located by Lewistown Borough Police on Chestnut Street Extended in Lewistown on May 24.
Regional officers returned the vehicle for processing. The investigation continues.
Police respond to drug distribution
LEWISTOWN -- Lewistown Police Department responded to a parking complaint on Lehigh Alley behind the 700 block of South Main Street on May 11.
According to the report, police attempted to make contact with a resident at that location.
When officers made contact with one resident, Todd E. Price, of Lewistown, police said it was evident that there was drug use inside the apartment.
The report states that officers conducted a search of the residence and located evidence that Price was selling drugs from the home. Price was taken into custody and was held in Mifflin County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment for felony possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
Granville woman arrested for drug possession
LEWISTOWN -- When conducting a traffic stop on in front of a Logan Street residence on May 1, Lewistown Police discovered a passenger, Jamie Elizabeth Hunter, who was found to have multiple local warrants.
Hunter was arrested during a search incident. According to the report, she was found in possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed.
