MIFFLINTOWN -- The Juniata County Commissioners approved grant agreements for the Homeless Assistance Program (HAP) and Human Services Development Fund (HSDF) Agency contracts at Tuesday's meeting.
The HAP agreements run from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, totaling $19,907. The contract between Juniata County and Mifflin Juniata Human Services includes Case Management Services ($15,188), Rental/Utility Assistance Services ($2,000), and Administration Services ($1,909).
The HSDF contracts also run from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, for $50,000, with monies going to Mifflin-Juniata Human Services for Administration ($5,000) and Service Coordination ($28,400), Shelter Services ($8.600), the Abuse Network ($3,000), and Clear Concepts Consulting ($5,000).
"Our case management programs are very successful, honestly. And we have one program that we do case management with the drug and alcohol folks that we have had 100% success rates in the last three years with that program," Human Services Director Allison Fisher said. "And we use that case management system with all our programs."
In other county news, the board:
•Approved the following Home Housing Rehab Project checks submitted by the Juniata County Planning and Community Development Department.
•Approved the revised "Family First Transition Act Invoice-Claim" for July 1, 2022, through Dec. 31, as submitted by the Children & Youth Services Fiscal Department.
