The Sentinel offers nonprofit and other community organizations an opportunity to promote upcoming events for free in the community calendar for three days before the event. Events requiring reservations may be promoted for up to two weeks before the reservation deadline.
Events that require a purchase from a for-profit business, even if a donation is made to the organization, are not eligible for the calendar.

• Free indoor yard "sale" -- 8 a.m.-noon, Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 E. Logan St., Reedsville. All items are free. Includes household items, small furniture, child and adult clothing and numerous miscellaneous items. Donations will be accepted through May 19. Contact the church at (717) 667-6312.
• Free Community Breakfast -- 8:30 a.m.-10 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, S. Main St. in Lewistown. Use rear entrance. Handicapped accessible.
• Soup and bake sale --
9 a.m.-noon, Centre Lutheran Church parking lot. Soup available by quart and various baked goods for sale. Proceeds benefit DeLauter Youth Center in Mifflintown and the Central Juniata Park Pool in Mifflin.
