From Staff Reports
LEWISTOWN — Following an investigation after a number of messages were written on the bathroom walls at Mifflin County High School in Lewistown, the Mifflin County Regional Police Department has filed juvenile charges against a 15-year-old male high school student.
MCRPD also filed juvenile charges against a 13-year-old female student at Mifflin County Junior High School, who wrote messages and threats on the girls’ bathroom walls at the junior high school.
The School Resource Officers and administrative teams at both Mifflin County High School and Mifflin County Junior High School reviewed video surveillance and other evidence as well as conducted interviews with numerous students who used the bathrooms during the time frame when the messages were discovered.
Both students will be charged with terroristic threats and other related charges. Although the threats were non-viable, officials stated they did cause disruptions to the educational process.
