LEWISTOWN -- A 54-year-old Lewistown man was charged with rape that recently resulted in a teenager's pregnancy.
Harold T. Miller was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Reed Wednesday on charges of rape, statutory sexual assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors and related charges
According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, Lewistown Police responded to a child welfare report that detailed concerns surrounding a 15-year-old who had just given birth at a hospital.
The report states that the teen would have been 13 when they began engaging in intercourse and that Miller would have been 52 years old at that time.
Miller is being held in Mifflin County Correctional facility, unable to post $250,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. March 8 in Reed's office.
