County Line to feature on national TV show
Crews to film from 1-4 p.m. April 10
RICHFIELD — The County Line Restaurant in Richfield will be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants in early April.
America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company focusing on local, independently-owned restaurants, will bring its ABR Roadshow to the restaurant on April 10. Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owner Ronda Sheaffer about the restaurant’s special place in the community. The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date.
Sheaffer, who had previously worked in the restaurant, purchased it in May 2022. She has revitalized the atmosphere and the menu items, resulting in a very comfortable space with large portions of good food at a good price. Some regular customers come in twice a day, and are happy to give Sheaffer their opinions on any new recipes she is trying.
“I’m very well-known in the community,” Sheaffer said. “It’s a very small town, it’s a little country restaurant. We have great home cooking, a very welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. You feel like you’re home, you feel like a family when you walk in the door.”
The large menu features Pennsylvania Dutch specialties such as stuffed pig stomach (run as a special) and ‘schnitz and knepp’, a dish of ham, dried apples and dumplings. The restaurant specializes in casseroles.
America’s Best Restaurants will be filming on Monday, April 10, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. County Line’s finished episode premiere date will be announced on their Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website.
Restaurants featured on the ABR Roadshow are found through customer nominations or by a restaurant applying to be featured at www.americasbestrestaurants.com.
