The Sentinel offers nonprofit and other community organizations an opportunity to promote upcoming events for free in the community calendar for three days before the event. Events requiring reservations may be promoted for up to two weeks before the reservation deadline.
Events that require a purchase from a for-profit business, even if a donation is made to the organization, are not eligible for the calendar.

• Graceful Soles Shoe Bank -- 9 a.m.-noon, Grace United Methodist Church, 101 Logan St., Lewistown. Children up to age 18 are given free pairs of shoes with verification of low income through medical assistance.
• Easter egg hunt -- 10 a.m., Juniata Valley Council Service Center, 9 Taylor Drive, Reedsville. All youth up to age 18 are welcome. Bring an Easter basket.
• Community Easter Egg Hunt -- 1 p.m., Christ's United Lutheran Church. For children ages 0 to 12. Rain Date: Saturday, April 8.

• Bannerville Fire Company ham and dandelion dinner -- beginning at 4 p.m. All-you-can-eat or take-out available. The menu includes ham, hot lettuce, boiled and browned potatoes, vegetable, cake and beverage. Adults: $12. Children ages 6-13: $6.
