Two residents displaced in fire

MILROY -- Firefighters extinguished a blaze at 30 Cave Lane Monday evening, which displaced two people.
According to Milroy Fire Company Chief Jeremy Kibe, the house was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived on scene. The home was considered a total loss.
"There was nothing we could do to save it," he said. "It was gone when we got on scene."
Officers were dispatched at 9:04 p.m.
and were on scene until after midnight.
The occupants are currently staying with family who live in another house on the same farm, the chief said.
Kibe said wind was a hindrance to fighting the fire, as well as getting a water supply.
The fire is thought to have started from the wood stove, but that has not been officially determined, Kibe said.
"I would like to thank all the firefighters who came on scene to help."
No injuries were sustained as a result of the fire.
Responding companies included Milroy Fire Company, Reedsville Fire Company, Burnham Fire Department, Belleville Fire Company, Allensville Volunteer Fire Company, Chief Logan Fire Company, City Hook and Ladder, Granville Fire Company, West Granville Fire Company and Junction Fire Company.
