LEWISTOWN - While the ball might drop in New York City's Times Square, there are plenty of festivities in the Juniata Valley to ring in the new year.
A broad range of businesses and non-profit and municipal agencies are offering activities for revelers to enjoy on this New Year's Eve to help ring in 2023.
"Whether you plan to stay up until midnight or not, the Juniata River Valley has a way for you to welcome the new year," said Juniata River Valley Visitors Bureau Executive Director Jenny Barron Landis.
Diners will find pork and sauerkraut which are said to bring luck in the coming year as well as four-course meals. There are parties with roller skating, live bands and DJs to roll in the new year.
Juniata County will also hold its traditional bridge drop, ice sculptures and a 5K as well as other activities to make the festivities memorable.
While the world is constantly changing, the Juniata Valley is still a great place to celebrate the end of the old year and the start of the new one!
And don't forget to dress warmly, especially if you're celebrating outdoors.

East Waterford
