The Sentinel offers nonprofit and other community organizations an opportunity to promote upcoming events for free in the community calendar for three days before the event. Events requiring reservations may be promoted for up to two weeks before the reservation deadline.

Events that require a purchase from a for-profit business, even if a donation is made to the organization, are not eligible for the calendar.

• Holiday bazaar -- Nov. 11-12 at Port Royal Lutheran Church, 402 Market St., Port Royal. Frozen homemade ready-to-bake mincemeat and caramel apple pies $12 pies, mincemeat pie filling only $10, soup by the quart $6 (chicken corn, beef vegetable, and ham and bean) must be preordered by Nov. 4. • Surviving the Holidays seminar -- 6:30 p.m. Nov. 20 at Locust Grove Mennonite Church. The seminar is especially for people who are grieving a loved one's death. Registration is required by Nov. 13. Call the church office at (717) 935-2164.
