BURNHAM -- A driver traveling against traffic on U.S. 322 struck two Mifflin County Regional Police vehicles early Saturday.
At approximately midnight Saturday, MCRPD officers received multiple calls of a vehicle traveling the wrong way in the westbound lane of U.S. 322. MCRPD and Armagh Township Police established a blockade and intercepted the vehicle between Reedsville and Burnham after the suspect vehicle struck two MCRPD police cruisers, disabling one of them.
The operator, was reportedly the cause of an accident in Armagh Township, was taken into custody without further incident and found to be DUI. Final charges are pending the results of a chemical test of the operator's blood.
