Belleville Mennonite School student council members donated more than 100 valentines to inpatients at Geisinger-Lewistown hospital. The idea came about during a middle school student council meeting as the student leaders were reflecting on the recent loss of their school’s librarian to COVID-19. ‘The students noted their sadness about her passing and another student mentioned how lonely it must feel to be sick in the hospital,’ said Jessica Geissinger, student council advisor and middle school teacher at Belleville Mennonite School. ‘We challenge the students to think about ways they can make a positive impact in the school and throughout the community.’
