Ministry to support single moms
BELLEVILLE -- The Mifflin County Single Moms Care and Support Group will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. the second and fourth Fridays at New Life Church Cafe, 101 Beech St., Burnham from Sept. 10, 2021 to May 27, 2022.
Dinner is served from 6:30 to 7 p.m. for mothers and children. Child care runs from 7 to 8 p.m. while mothers meet in a group. For more information, call or text Ann at (717) 437-4946.
Support available for grieving
McVEYTOWN -- GriefShare is a special weekly seminar and support group designed to help you rebuild your life after losing a loved one. GriefShare is for 13 weeks and will begin Thursday, March 10th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pine Glen Alliance Church along state Route 103 near McVeytown. The group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and want to help you through the difficult days ahead. Singing Lions at Ellen Chapel
LEWISTOWN -- The Singing Lions will perform at Ellen Chapel Church Coffee House beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12. The Singing Lions is Penn State's singing and dancing ensemble.
Their repertoire consists of music arranged for mixed voices, including jazz, Broadway, and pop. Along with choreographed dance routines, this unique ensemble provides exciting and energy-packed shows.
This student-run organization sponsors the families of two THON children at Hershey Medical Center who have been diagnosed with cancer. There is no charge to attend but a freewill offering will be accepted to provide an opportunity for attendees to donate to the fund for the children.
After the break for a snack, the Hayride Band will provide a change of pace with bluegrass, country, and folk music.

Bethel AME to host luncheon
LEWISTOWN -- Bethel AME church will host a Black History Month Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022. The luncheon, titled "Feeding Your Soul With God's Love" will be free and donations will be accepted. There will be food, music, games and trivia for kids and adults.

UMC to host Bible study
LEWISTOWN -- First Bakers United Methodist Church will host a Bible study every Wednesday at 7 p.m. They will also host a youth group for individuals under age 18 on the first Thursday of each month, except July.

PORT ROYAL -- Port Royal Men's Lenten Pray Breakfast will be held at 7 a.m. each Saturday in the Port Royal Community building. There will be a $5 charge for breakfast to cover the meal. Speakers will be as follows:
