Encampment to be held at museum

BOALSBURG — The reenactment “Staying Warm in the Ardennes: The Battle of the Bulge” will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Pennsylvania Military Museum in Boalsburg.

Living historians, representing the 4th and 28th Infantry Divisions, interpret life in the field during one of Europe’s most bitter winters, along with provide a narrated tactical demonstration for attendees. Encampment is open to the public both days. The encampment will be located adjacent to the Sherman tank, near the entrance of the museum.

On Saturday at 2 p.m., historian Jared Frederick will offer a lecture about his extensive research on Maj. Dick Winters in the museum auditorium.

No reservation or tickets required, seating is first come, first served. Donations are appreciated. Touring the museum gallery requires payment of admission costs.
