¯Theft — According to a report from Lewistown Police Department, a theft occurred at 10:48 a.m. on Sept. 13, 2021, 135 Mill St., Lewistown, outside a Lewistown resident’s home.
The resident reported Kent Jones, 38, and Brant Royer, 38, for theft of packages outside the resident’s home. Police found Jones and Royer responsible and charged both men with theft.
Jones also had two warrants, and police lodged Jones at Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
¯Warrant / Resisting Arrest — According to a report from Lewistown Police Department, officers accused a Lewistown man who had an active warrant of resisting arrest.
According to the report, the incident occurred at 8:26 p.m. on Sept. 11, 2021, along 246 W. Fifth St., Lewistown, when police reported a man driving a motorcycle without a valid license.
Officers stopped Randy Hays, 44, after Hays drove in the alley to the rear of West Fifth Street. When police found Hays, discovered his active warrant and attempted to arrest him, they found themselves in a struggle with Hays, who resisted arrest. The police took Hays to Mifflin County Correctional Facility following the scuffle; Police said Hays would be charged.
¯Public drunkenness — According to a report from Lewistown Police Department, police accused a Lewistown woman of public drunkenness.
According to the report, the incident occurred at 5:45 p.m. on Sept. 10, 2021, along Bratton Avenue, Lewistown, while police patrolled the area. Police found Ginger Workman, 37, intoxicated on the nearby sidewalk; they cited and arrested Workman for public drunkenness. Officers lodged Workman at Mifflin County Correctional Facility following the incident.

¯DUI — According to a press release from Mifflin County Regional Police Department, officers on patrol stopped a motorized bicycle at 7:57 p.m. on Sept. 18, 2021, along North Main Street, Yeagertown.
The operator of the vehicle rode in an unsafe manner when traveling in the opposing lane. Officers reported that the moped operator, 49-year-old James M. Schwartz of Milroy, was highly intoxicated.
Officers placed Schwartz under arrest for suspicion of DUI and transported him to the Mifflin County Booking Center, where he refused a chemical test of his breath. Police will file charges through the office of Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Reed.
¯Crashes — Officers investigated the following basic motor vehicle accidents:
-8:17 a.m. on Sept. 14 along 322 eastbound in Derry Township.
-11:46 a.m. on Sept. 14 along Ewardtown Road in Derry Township.
-5:18 p.m. on Sept. 17 along Electric Avenue in Derry Township.
-9:48 p.m. on Sept. 17 along Electric Avenue in Derry Township.
-7:49 p.m. on Sept. 18 along North Main Street in Yeagertown.
