Lewistown Police Department
¯Hit and run — No injuries were reported in a hit and run at a Lewistown construction site on July 26 according to a report from Lewistown Police Department. The report shows that Elizabeth Sieber, 46, ran a stop sign held by a Flagger Force worker around 12:13 p.m. at the 100 block when construction was in progress. Sieber then attempted to pull off the road way and struck a parked vehicle.
She drove away from the scene without pause. Police located Sieber at her residence at 140 Valley St. where police issued traffic citations for an accident involving damage to an unattended vehicle and a stop sign violation.
¯Simple Assault — A Lewistown man is accused with simple assault and public drunkenness according to a report from Lewistown Police Department made on July 27. One individual sustained an injury without need for medical attention.
According to the report Brandon Hess, 23, perpetrated the assault at 1 a.m. at 28 Chestnut St. in apartment 4. Police investigated the incident following Hess’ attempt to flee the scene. Department officials concluded that Hess punched a man in the face during a disagreement, that a person involved sustained a minor laceration to the lip, and that Hess was under the influence of alcoholic beverages according to multiple accounts from other unnamed individuals at the scene.
¯Obstruction — A Lewistown man is accused with obstruction of a traffic stop on July 26 at 10:06 p.m. according to a report from Lewistown Police Department. The report shows that Leon Bleyer obstructed the roadway at Twin Kiss on Walnut Street at Shaw Avenue.
Bleyer became uncooperative with officers, and he was involved in a physical altercation with the officers.
Police arrested Bleyer, who was later released on summons and who faces multiple charges.

¯Trespass — An East Waterford woman, 19, is accused with trespassing according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police of Lewistown.
According to the report the trespass happened at 12:51 a.m. on Aug. 1, in Lack township, 1697 Campbell Hollow Rd., at the home of Logan Mellott, 22, of East Waterford . Following an investigation police have cited Sondra Kelley with trespassing.
¯Crash — No injuries were reported in a crash on July 29, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police of Lewistown.
The report shows that vehicle 2, driven by Russell Maxwell, 72, was stopped on a roadway waiting to turn right at 11:07 a.m. along Route 103 N., in Juniata Terrace borough, when vehicle 1, driven by Anthony Levan, failed to stop, rear-ending the back of Maxwell’s 2014 Buick Enclave. Levan’s Chevrolet Cavalier suffered minimal damage after hitting vehicle 2 before coming to a stop.
Maxwell and Levan sustained no injuries due to proper use of seat belts. Levan reported that his vehicle’s brake system failed according to the report from Pennsylvania State Police of Lewistown.
¯Harassment — A Thompsontown woman, 39, reported harassment on July 29 at 2:11 p.m. according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police of Lewistown.
The Pennsylvania State Police of Lewistown are investigating according to the report.
¯Theft — A 42 year old man, of Port Royal, reported a theft / fraud incident on July 29 according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police of Lewistown.
An unknown individual opened an unemployment claim using the victim’s name. Charges have not been filed according to the report.
¯Crash — No injuries were reported in a crash on July 28, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police of Lewistown.
The report shows that vehicle 1 entered a highway at 3:08 p.m. along Route 655, in Menno Township, when vehicle 2, attempting to avoid striking vehicle 1, failed to avoid an accident, striking the rear driver’s side of vehicle 1, a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. Vehicle 2, a 1999 Freightliner, suffered minimal damage after hitting vehicle 1.
Both drivers involved and the passenger of vehicle 2 wore seat belts and were not injured. Police issued a violation for the driver of vehicle 1 who crossed the roadway.
¯Mischief — A Lewistown woman, 26, reported criminal mischief according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police of Lewistown.
According to the report the incident occurred at noon on July 26 and at 9:39 p.m. on July 28, in Wayne township, on Loop Road. Following an investigation police reported that the suspect damaged a passenger side headlight of a vehicle on the property. The damage is valued at $200 and criminal charges have not been filed according to the report.
¯Theft — Summerlee Glessner, 33, of Millerstown, reported identity theft on July 21 according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police of Lewistown.
An unknown individual attempted to apply for unemployment using Glessner’s social security number. The investigation is ongoing according to the report.
¯Hit and run — No injuries were reported in a hit and run on July 17, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police of Lewistown.
The report shows that vehicle 1 attempted to turn left onto Route 333 at 7:01 a.m. along East Main Street, in Thompsontown Township, when the operator of vehicle 1 failed to make the turn, running on to the property at 273 E. Main St. This driver hit a fence on the property and left the scene in an unknown direction.
