Mifflin County reports 4 new COVID-19 cases
1 new death in 2 of 5 counties

Mifflin and Juniata counties each saw low counts of new COVID-19 cases, according to data released Tuesday by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
The health department said Mifflin County had four new cases and Juniata County had three. In Snyder County, 11 new cases were reported, Huntingdon County saw nine new cases and Perry County saw 13. The counties totals are now 5,276 in Mifflin County, 2,090 in Juniata County, 3,591 in Snyder County, 5,017 in Huntingdon County, and 3,730 in Perry County since the pandemic began in March 2020.
Juniata and Huntingdon counties each reported one additional death attributed to COVID-19 on Tuesday. It was Juniata County’s 85th and Huntingdon County’s 129th. Mifflin County has had 178 COVID deaths so far, Snyder County has had 84 and Perry County has had 100.
Mifflin County has seen 13,356 people become fully vaccinated — meaning they’ve received a one-dose vaccine or both doses of a two-dose vaccine. Juniata County has had 5,967 become fully vaccinated, Snyder County has had 10,080, Huntingdon County has had 13,008 and Perry County has seen 10,981 become fully vaccinated.
Another 2,778 in Mifflin County, 1,742 in Juniata County, 3,932 in Snyder County, 2,630 in Huntingdon County and 7,820 in Perry County are partially vaccinated, meaning they’ve only received one dose of a two-dose vaccine.
In Mifflin County, there are seven COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized, but none are currently in the adult intensive care unit nor using a ventilator to assist with breathing. Huntingdon County has one hospitalized COVID-19 patient, but none in the ICU or using a ventilator, according to the health department.
