EAST WATERFORD -- A Juniata County man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred while he was fleeing from police early Saturday morning near the Beale Township/Tuscarora Township line, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown.

Police said 29-year-old Bo V. Reed, of East Waterford, was fleeing police southbound on state Route 35 at around 12:14 a.m. Saturday when he failed to negotiate a downhill left curve after passing several deer.

Police said Reed's 2018 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling too fast for conditions when Reed lost control of the vehicle and overturned in a wooded area next to the road. According to the report, Reed was not wearing his seat belt and he was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

Reed was taken by Port Royal EMS to Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey for treatment of his injuries. Reed has been cited for failure to stop for police.
