COVID-19 closes Strodes Mills Elementary School

Re-opening slated for Friday

LEWISTOWN – Strodes Mills Elementary School will be closed Wednesday and Thursday after a second positive COVID-19 case was reported within the school, according to the schools announcement on Tuesday.

Strodes Mills Elementary School will be closed on Wednesday, April 7 and Thursday, April 8. SMES teachers will execute a full remote learning plan which will include synchronous live sessions for students which may be accessed via Class Dojo. The tentative plan is to have SMES reopen for in-person instruction on Friday, April 9, 2021.

During this closure, SMES will receive extra cleaning as per Pennsylvania Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.
