Juniata County clerk runs for fourth term on the job

MIFFLINTOWN -- Alicia Anstine Seigler, the current Recorder of Deeds, Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans' Court of Juniata County, has announced her candidacy for re-election for a fourth term.
Seigler, of Port Royal, has worked for Juniata County since 2004 and is currently serving her 12th year as register and recorder.
"I have truly enjoyed working as the register and recorder and serving the citizens of Juniata County," Seigler said in a press release announcing her candidacy. "I have a dedicated staff that does an outstanding job of running a friendly and efficient office.
"This past year has been quite challenging as we have had to work together to change how we operate and conduct business. I feel that we were able to make adaptations and serve the public to the best of our ability. During this time, we implemented e-recording. This service is of no cost to the county and gives the customers the option to record electronically.
"If re-elected, I am committed to preserving and protecting the records in the Register and Recorder's Office. I look forward to continuing to serve the residents of Juniata County."
In addition to her experience as Register and Recorder, Seigler is a member of the Juniata County Republican Committee, the Pennsylvania Recorder of Deeds Association and the Pennsylvania Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans' Court Association. She also serves on the advisory board for Juniata County Children and Youth Social Services Agency, is a member of the Eastern Star No. 260 and attends the Port Royal Lutheran Church.
Seigler is a lifelong resident of Juniata County and currently resides in Milford Township with her husband, Justin, and children Owen and Vivian.
The primary election is May 18.
