¯Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Flight to Avoid Apprehension — On Feb. 4, at 9:45 p.m., officers from the Lewistown Police Department were patrolling the area of Logan Street where a man was observed being retrained by several other individuals in an attempt to keep the subject from fighting another person. Officers intervened and the subject fled on foot. The subject was apprehended and identified as Randy Skyler Williams, 31. Williams had an active arrest warrant for drug possession and resisting arrest. Williams was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.

¯Assault Bodily Injury, No Weapon — On Feb. 5, at 6:52 p.m., PSP Lewistown responded to Black Maitland Rd, Decatur Township, for a report of a 911 hang-up call. Through the investigation it was found that a physical domestic occurred between the victim, an 18 year old female, of McClure, and the arrestee, Donald Brittain III, 19, of McClure. Brittain was taken into custody and charges were completed through district court 58-3-02.
¯Crash–On Feb. 6, at 11:34 a.m., a crash occurred as Derrick Lee Haines III, 35, of Lewistown, was changing the coil pack in a 1997 Ford F-150XLT inside of his garage on Bird In Hand Dr. The vehicle caught fire and Haines put the hood down and pushed it out of the garage in the driveway. Haines then went into the residence and the vehicle became fully engulfed. Haines came out and pushed the vehicle down the driveway, where it traveled across SR 103 and struck an embankment in the twelve o’clock position. The vehicle stopped up against the bank, facing west.
¯Theft by Deception ID Theft — On Feb. 3, at 1:21 p.m., PSP Lewistown responded to Mccoysville Rd, Tuscarora Township, for report of an ID Theft. The investigation is ongoing.
¯PFA Violation– On Feb. 7, at 10:48 a.m., PSP responded to an active verbal domestic dispute at Industrial Park Rd, Walker Township. This incident was resolved with police assistance.
¯Crash– On Feb. 1, at 3:18 p.m., a crash occurred as John A. Eaton, 64, of Mifflintown, was traveling westbound on William Penn Highway just west of Swamp Rd, Walker Township. As Eaton was traveling westbound at this location. Eaton’s 2000 Ford Explorer passenger side tie rod end broke which caused the vehicle to steer to the left of the snow covered roadway. The vehicle then struck a utility pole alongside the roadway. The vehicle then spun facing eastbound. Eaton was attempting to move the vehicle off the roadway, made it eastbound a short distance but was unable to due to the damage. Eaton was wearing his seat belt, and was uninjured. Eaton will not be cited as a result.
¯Harass Physical Contact– On Feb. 4, at 6:00 p.m., PSP Lewistown is investigating a domestic dispute that occurred at Pin Oak Lane, Wayne Township. This altercation was physical in nature. Harassment charges have been filed through MDJ 58-3-01.
¯Theft by Deception ID Theft– On Feb. 4, at 11:38 a.m., an identity theft was reported. An unknown subject attempted to file a fraudulent unemployment claim through the victim’s employer. The claim was denied. PA Dept. of Labor and Industry will be completing an investigation.
¯Theft by Decpt ID Theft– On Feb. 8, at 8:00 a.m., PSP Lewistown is investigating an incident where the victim had an unemployment claim opened in his name but he did not file for it. There are no suspects in the case.
¯Hit and Run Crash– A crash occurred on Feb. 6, at 4:41 a.m., on US Highway 322 westbound, east of the Center Road overpass, Walker Township. This crash occurred as Phillip R. Myers, 56, of Mifflintown, lost control of his 2009 Ford Expedition on the snow covered roadway. The vehicle then slid into a tree. The vehicle sustained disabling damage as a result of the crash and was towed from the scene. Myers left the scene prior to arrival of Troopers. The crash was reported by a passer-by. Myers later contacted the Troopers and advised of the crash. Myers was uninjured as a result of the Crash. Assisting on scene was Gray’s Towing.
¯Theft/ Crime by Deception– The PA State Police are investigating a series of Unemployment Compensation fraud cases. The following information comes from the PA Office Of Unemployment Compensation to report ID Theft.
If you suspect or know that someone is using your personal information such as your name, social security number, or date of birth without your knowledge or consent to file for Unemployment Compensation Benefits: Complete and submit a Identity Theft form at uc.pa.gov OR call the PA Fraud Hotline at 1-800-692-7469. You may also want to file a police report with the municipality you reside in at the time the unemployment benefits in question were paid.
¯Endangering Welfare of a Child– On Feb. 4, at 10:05 a.m., PSP Lewistown responded to Delaware Ave, Juniata Terrace Borough, for a report of endangering the welfare of a child. This investigation is on going.
¯Theft by Deception ID Theft– On Feb. 8, at 2:47 p.m., PSP Lewistown received a report of Identity Theft. The victim had an unemployment account opened under his name. The victims information was changed without his approval. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Lewistown.
¯Child Custody Order Violation– On Feb. 7, at 10:35 a.m., PSP Lewistown is investigating a child custody investigation on Cocolamus Creek Road, Greenwood Township. It was determined that no criminal activity occurred. No charges have been filed.
¯Theft of Vehicle Parts– Between Feb. 5, and Feb. 8, PA State Police received reports of theft from motor vehicle and stolen vehicle parts. If you believe you have information about this incident please contact Dominicus Tolbert, at PSP Lewistown, (717) 320-1010.

¯Harass No Legitimate Purpose– On Jan. 27, at 9:13 a.m., PSP Lewistown is investigating a harassment at E Industrial Dr, Fermanagh Township, where the victim was contact by the accused numerous times and there is a no contact order against the accused. Charges have been filed through District Court 41-3-01.
¯Crash– On Feb. 9, at 8:28 a.m., PSP Lewistown responded to W River Rd, Walker Township, for a one vehicle crash. Edward W. Rigler, 28, of Honey Grove, lost control of his 2003 Chevrolet Impala, and traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking a tree. Rigler was injured and transported to Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Gray’s Towing.
¯Crash– On Feb. 7, at 11:35 p.m., a crash occurred on SR 235 near its intersection with Orchard Rd., Fayette Township, This crash occurred as Adam J. Walton, 36, of Mifflintown, lost control of his 2005 Ford F250 Supercab, on the icy roadway. The vehicle then traveled down an embankment and overturned. Walton was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured as a result of the crash. The vehicle sustained disabling damage as a result of the crash and was towed from the scene by Geedey’s Towing.
