Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown
¯Theft of Motor Vehicle – At 3:45 AM on Dec. 31st, police said a 15 year old male from Granville stole a 1986 blue Chevrolet truck from Granville Fire Company and drove it to Pheasant Valley Rd in Decatur Township where he crashed.
¯Harass Communication – At 9:28 PM on Jan. 5th, police responded to a harassment by communication on William Penn Highway in Fermanagh Township. No charges have been filed by request of the victim.
¯Drug Possession – On Jan. 4th at 5:13 PM, police arrested a 32 year old female and a 59 year old male on US22 W in Walker Township. Both suspects were from Altoona, Pennsylvania. The police were granted a search warrant after gaining suspicion of drug possession. Police discovered known and unknown controlled substances in the motor vehicle. Police are still investigating.
¯Assault Bodily Injury No Weapon – On Jan. 4th at 8:52 AM, police responded to a report of an out of control male on Casey Lane in Walker Township. Upon arrival, the two Troopers were assaulted by James Casey, a 22 year old male from Mifflintown, Pennsylvania. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge, Tracy Powell Markle.
¯Crash – At 6:04 PM on Jan. 4th, police responded to a crash that occurred on West River Road in Walker Township. The crash occurred at the sharp turn next to St. Jude Lane. The driver of a 2000 Honda Civic was traveling towards Mountain View Trailer Park coming from Empire Kosher on West River Road. The Honda Civic driver approached a curve in the roadway and traveled over the double yellow line into oncoming traffic lane and hit a 2021 Chevrolet Suburban. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained damage but drove from the scene under their own power.
¯Theft All Other- On Dec. 27th at 7:00 AM, police responded to Jay Fulkroad & Sons, INC. on Free Spring Church Road in Fayette Township to a report of four stolen chain saws. The stolen property includes: (a) STIHL 031, (b) STIHL 039 24” BAR, (c) STIHL MS650 36″ BAR, and (d) HUSQVARNA 350. Anybody with information regarding the saws are asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown at 717-320-1010.
¯Criminal Mischief Under $1000 – On Jan. 1st at 12:00 AM, police arrested David Christian, a 31 year old male from Washington, New Jersey for damaging an exterior door at 3rd Street and Market Street in Port Royal Borough. A citation was filed through the district court.
¯Hit and Run – On Dec. 14th at 9:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a hit and run located at 39 Spanogle Avenue in Lewistown. A witness saw a black Jeep hit an unoccupied parked car and the driver of the Jeep proceeded to flee the area. Officers reviewed nearby video surveillance and identified the vehicle and the driver as Ryan Spicker. Spicker admitted to hitting the parked car and fleeing the area. Sticker was cited for an incident0 involving damage to unattended vehicles, careless driving, and duties at stop signs.
¯Reportable Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 22nd at 1:54 p.m., police responded to a reportable vehicle accident on the 1st block of N Wayne St. The accident involved two vehicles, one belonging to Jacob Swartz, the other belonging to Pauline Belfiore. Swartz’s vehicle hit Belfiore’s vehicle. Belfiore’s vehicle was removed by Parsons Towing. No one was injured in the accident.
¯PFA Violation – On Dec. 22nd at 5:42 p.m., police responded to a domestic report at 203 E Third Street in Lewistown involving Jose Emanuel Negron Rios. Officers discovered Negron Rios has a PFA order prohibiting him from the property. Negron Rios fled from officers leading them on a foot persuit starting from behind 203 E Third Street ending behind STAX Fitness Center where officers apprehended him. Negron Rios will be charges will Violation of the PFA and resisting arrest.
¯Public Drunkeness – On Dec. 30th at 5:06 p.m., police responded to the intersection of Chestnut and Depot Street for a report of an unconscious person. When police arrived they discovered a white female, identified as Jasmine Marie Coolbaugh, stumbling and falling over in the street. Coolbaugh was arrested for pu8blic drunkenness and transported to Mifflin County Correctional Facility. Coolabugh received a citation of public drunkenness.
¯Criminal Mischief – On Dec. 30th at 9:36 p.m., police took a report of a silver Dodge Grand Caravan on Central Ave which had been keyed. Juveniles are suspected. If anyone has information relative to this incident please contact the Lewistown Police.
¯Simple Assault/ Terroristic Threats – On Jan. 1st, at 11:04 a.m., police responded to 531 Lindbergh Way for a domestic dispute. Kalee Nicole Rizzo, 21, hit her significant other in the face causing injuries. Rizzo also threatened other household members with a knife. Rizzo was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility on charges of simple assault and terroristic threats pending arraignment by the on-call magistrate.
¯DUI (Drugs) – On Dec. 4th at 9:20 p.m., police were dispatched to a gas station at 221 South Main St for a report of a female passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle. The employee was unable to wake the female up. The female was identified as Crystal Dawn Kholer who was highly impaired from a combination of drugs. Kohler was arrested for DUI. Charges were filed against Kohler upon receipt of a toxicology report confirming that several impairing controlled substances were present at the time of her arrest.
¯DUI – On Dec. 8th at 10:23 p.m., police were notified of a vehicle on the railroad tracks. The driver, Christian Jones of Burnham, 24, was found to be under the influence and was consequently charged.
¯DUI Hit and Run Crash – On Dec. 15th at 5:20 p.m., police were dispatched to a vehicle crash on the 100 block of N Walnut St. Through the investigation, it was learned that Jennie Napier, 35, had been driving her blue Ford Escape on Valley St. As she approached the intersection of Valley St and Walnut St, she had a rear end collision with a stopped vehicle waiting to turn left onto S Walnut St. Napier fled the scene North on N Walnut St. As she made it to the 100 block of N Walnut St, Napier collided with a parked pickup truck, which disabled her vehicle, and it required to be towed from the scene. Napier was placed under arrest for suspicion of a DUI. Napier will be facing charges of Accidents Involving Damage to Attended Vehicles, as well as potentially face charges for Driving under the influence once test results are obtained.
¯Resisting Arrest/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – On Dec. 9th at approximately 5:17 p.m., Lewistown Police and PA State Police responded to the Housing Authority Property at 300 Union Ave. A report was made that a shirtless male was there acting strangely, and possibly under the influence of unknown substances. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with Stephan Flood III, who was not responding to the Officers. It was learned that there was an active warrant for Flood’s arrest Northumberland County, so Officers attempted to place him under arrest until more details could be learned. Flood proceeded to resist the Officers attempts, requiring force to be used to subdue him. A search of Flood incident to arrest uncovered two hypodermic needles and packaging suspected to have contained controlled substances. Flood was taken to Mifflin County Correctional Facility and charged with Resisting Arrest, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Public Drunkenness and Similar Misconduct.
¯Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – On Dec. 10th at approximately 9:45 a.m., Lewistown police were dispatched to 20 S Main St. for a possible alcohol overdose. The investigation revealed that 18 year old, Alan Wagner from Milroy, had been discovered heavily intoxicated outside of the building. Concerned tenant brought him inside and then later called 911 for medical treatment. During the course of the investigation, Wagner was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia as well. Wagner was given medical treatment. Wagner was subsequently charged with possessing drug paraphernalia, consumption of alcohol by a minor and public drunkenness.
¯Non-Reportable Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 11th at 12:56 p.m. , police were dispatched to the intersection of S Dorcas and E Market St for a non reportable vehicle accident. Tracy Lee Ann Miller’s vehicle hit Mary J Elder’s vehicle from the rear.
¯DUI – On Dec. 20th at 12:05 a.m., police responded to a hit and run crash involving a white Nissan pickup truck. The driver, Jacob Walers, a 24 year old from Lewistown, was found to be under the influence. Walters was arrested and booked into Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
¯Retail Theft – On Dec. 14th at approximately 3:00 p.m., police were dispatched to Nick’s Bargain and Variety, 20 Valley Street in Lewistown, for a report of retail theft in progress. Officer arrived on scene and located Henry Alexander White, 44, who was discovered to be in possession of numerous items he attempted to steal. A search of White also yielded a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. White was arrested and placed into the Mifflin County Correctional Facility on a felony retail theft charge, as well as drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia charges.
¯Disorderly Conduct – On Jan. 7th, at 12:49 p.m., a 16 year old male from Mount Union, was acting extremely disorderly in the presence of another by Lower Country Club Road in Wayne Township. The individual will be cited through District Court 58-3-01.
¯DUI Crash Alcohol – On Dec. 24th at 5:45 p.m., a 2014 Ford Escape crashed on Tennis Park Road in Fayette Township. The driver, a 50 year old male from McAlisterville, was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Charges will be filed through Disctrict Court 41-3-01.
¯Dissemination of Intimate Image – On Dec. 22nd between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. in Walker Township, a minor was found to be sending another minor intimate images. This investigation is ongoing.
¯Criminal Mischief Under $1000 – On Jan. 7th between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. on Market Street in the Port Royal Borough, an unknown actor(s) tampered with a 21 year old womens apartment door, causing the door to not function properly. The actor(s) fled in an unknown direction.
¯Crash – On Dec. 13th, at 10:17 p.m., police responded to 3283 McKinley Road in Tuscarora Township, for a crash. Dalton H. Furman swerved to avoid a deer and struck a tree in his 1992 Chrysler Le Baron. No one was injured and the vehicle was towed from the scene by Geedey’s Towing.
