LEWISTOWN -- Mifflin County Coroner Daniel P. Lynch reports there were 11 additional deaths in Mifflin County due to COVID-19 in the past week.
Lynch said that brings the total since Nov. 8 to 132.
Lynch's total is the number of people whose death has occurred within Mifflin County, regardless of where they resided.
That differs from the Pennsylvania Department of Health's total, which is the number of county residents who have died due to the virus, regardless of where the death occurred.
As of Tuesday, the health department's total for Mifflin County residents is 111 deaths since the pandemic began in March.
