POTTERS MILLS -- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has issued a mid-October update for its Route 322/Potters Mills Gap project in southeast Centre County.
¯ One lane in each direction (eastbound and westbound) is open on the new U.S. 322 alignment.
¯ Up to Decker Valley Road, local traffic can use old U.S. 322 as a local access road.
Drivers are strongly encouraged to follow traffic/directional signs through the project. GPS information does not appear to be up-to-date and may encourage drivers to deviate from their needed route.
Anyone traveling state Route 144 and planning to head east, will need to make a right turn at the old Route 144/322 intersection in Potters Mills. This will allow drivers to access the new ramp for eastbound U.S. 322.
Drivers traveling state Route 144 and wishing to travel west, will need to make a right turn at the old Route 144/322 intersection in Potters Mills. This will allow drivers to access the new ramp for westbound U.S. 322.
