Official: Another bus driver virus positive
Employee quarantined for 4 days
LEWISTOWN — Mifflin County School District announced Thursday that another of the district’s school bus drivers has tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday.
The announcement was made in a letter posted to the MCSD website by Chief Operations Officer Vance Varner.
Varner said because the driver had last driven more than four days ago and had been in quarantine since then, no students or staff members were required to quarantine per Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines.
This is the third bus driver and the fifth person associated with the school district known to have tested positive since the school year began. The others were a student and a staff member at Mifflin County High School.
