Lewistown Police Department

Warrant – 1:05 a.m. – Feb. 20 – Police discovered Amanda Lilley, 24, of Lewistown, who had a warrant for her arrest.

Lilley was arrested and placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.

DUI – 9:45 p.m. – Feb. 22 – Police report investigating a DUI in Lewistown.

According to the report, police received a tip from a female that Michael Blystone Jr. left a residence in Lewistown and was driving while intoxicated.

Officers discovered Blystone had driven his vehicle into a snowbank and was stuck.

Blystone was arrested for DUI and was placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.

Theft – Feb. 23 – Police report investigating a theft on Logan Street in Lewistown.

According to the report, a satellite radio receiver was removed from a parked vehicle.

Police are warning residents to lock their vehicles and remove valuables from their vehicles.

Public intoxication – 11:10 p.m. – Feb. 24 – Police report investigating an incident of public intoxication in Lewistown.

According to the report, Thomas Joiner, 53, of Lewistown, was involved in an incident on Dorcas Street that brought police attention to him.

Police arrested Joiner for public intoxication.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Theft – Feb. 23-24 – State police report investigating a theft in Juniata County.

According to the report, Jeffrey Royer, 46, of East Waterford, had two cased firearms removed from his vehicle. They could have been taken during his time at Moonlight Tavern, at his residence on Water Street or in Hanoman House.

The investigation is ongoing.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Crash – 8:12 p.m. – Feb. 20 – State police report investigating a crash that occurred in Armagh Township.

According to the report, Kevin Kibe, 43, of Milroy, was driving his 2001 Ford F150 on Mechanic Drive.

Kibe traveled off the right side of the road and struck the corner of a residence. He then fled the scene.

Kibe suffered moderate injuries in the incident.

Kibe will be charged with a traffic violation.

Lewistown Police Department

Public Disturbance – Feb. 25 – Lewistown Police and the Mifflin County School District report investigating an incident that involved a school bus picking up children before school.

According to the report, the incident allegedly involved an upset parent of a child boarding the bus and using profanity toward the driver.

Police, including the school resource officer, were notified. School officials checked all the children on the bus to ensure their safety. No one was injured.

Parents were notified of the incident through an established safety and messaging system.

The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Mount Union Police Department

Fire investigation- 1:40 a.m. – Jan. 22 – Police were called to a structure fire on West Vandevender Street, Mount Union, according to a report from police.

There was a fatality in the fire.

The investigation is ongoing.

Drug law violation – 4:40 a.m. – Jan. 22 – Police investigated a suspicious person at a business on North Jefferson Street, Mount Union, according to a report from police.

As a result of the investigation, police charged Malakia Jackson, 23, of Mount Union, with possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct after it was determined he was in possession of a crack pipe.

Explicit images – 12:07 p.m. – Jan. 23 – Police report investigating a report of inappropriate text messages being sent by a juvenile on North Industrial Drive, Mount Union, according to a report from the Mount Union Police Department.

As a result of the investigation, a 15-year-old Mount Union boy was arrested for transmission of sexually explicit images by a minor.

The juvenile’s cell phone was also seized.

Disorderly conduct – 12:28 p.m. – Jan. 23 – Police investigated a report of a disorderly person on North Industrial Drive, Mount Union, according to a report from police.

The party was issued a warning.

Theft – 2:53 p.m. – Jan. 23 – Police received a report of theft of services on West Shirley Street, Mount Union, according to a report from police.

A known party was disposing of trash in a business’ dumpster.

The investigation is ongoing.

Harassment – 3:55 p.m. – Jan. 23 – Police investigated a report of harassment on North Jefferson Street, Mount Union, according to a report from police.

Noise complaint – 7:50 p.m. – Jan. 23 – Police investigated a noise complaint on East Garber Street, Mount Union, according to a report from police.

Disorderly conduct – 6:56 p.m. – Jan. 26 – Police investigated a report of a disorderly person at a business on East Shirley Street, Mount Union, according to a report from police.

Noise complaint – 12:16 a.m. – Jan. 27 – Police report investigating a noise complaint on West Shirley Street, Mount Union, according to a report from police.

Theft – 12:11 p.m. – Jan. 27 – Police report investigating a reported theft on Wrangletown Road, Mount Union.

Disorderly conduct – 6:40 p.m. – Jan. 27 – Police investigated a report of a disorderly customer at a business on East Shirley Street, Mount Union, according to a report from police.

Fire investigation – 7:54 a.m. – Jan. 28 – Police were called to a scene of a structure fire on West Water Street, Mount Union, according to a report from police.

The fire investigation determined that the fire was accidental.

Crash – 9 a.m. – Jan. 28 – A two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of North Jefferson and West Water streets in Mount Union, according to a report from police.

A 1992 Honda, operated by Alicia Creswell, was traveling north when it collided with the rear end of a 2002 Dodge, operated by Wendi Brumbaugh. Brumbaugh’s vehicle was stopped in the lane of travel to make a left turn.

There was minor damage.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

Creswell was cited for careless driving.

Abandoned vehicle – 11 a.m. – Jan. 28 – Police investigated a report of an abandoned vehicle at a business on East Pennsylvania Avenue, Mount Union, according to a report from police.

Assault – 1:30 p.m. – Jan. 28 – Police investigated a reported assault on South Liberty Street, Mount Union, according to a report from police.

Harassment – 2:30 p.m. – Jan. 28 – Police investigated a report of harassment on Wrangletown Road, Mount Union, according to a report from police.

Theft – 3:28 p.m. – Jan. 28 – Police investigated a report of the theft of a calculator from a student’s locker at Mount Union High School, according to a report from police.

Crash – 5 p.m. – Jan. 28 – A minor crash occurred on West Market Street, Mount Union, according to a report from police.

The operators of the vehicles exchanged information.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Hit-and-run – 10 a.m. – Feb. 19 – A hit-and-run accident occurred on state Route 333 at its intersection with River Road in Milford Township, Juniata County, according to a report from state police.

Christen L. Heintzelman, 40, of Port Royal, was attempting to negotiate a left curve in the road while traveling north on state Route 333 in a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. The vehicle left the right side of the road and collided with an embankment. The vehicle then spun clockwise 360 degrees and came to rest in the southbound lane facing north. Heintzelman then left the scene.

Heintzelman and his passenger, Tyler A. Heintzelman, 19, of Port Royal, were both wearing their seat belts.

Christen Heintzelman suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Heinselman was cited for the crash.

Crash – 9:30 p.m. – Feb. 19 – A one-vehicle crash occurred on Ferguson Valley Road in Wayne Township, according to a report from state police.

Tyler D. Krepps, 22, of Mount Union, was traveling East on Ferguson Valley Road in a 2000 Ford Mustang. While negotiating a right curve, the vehicle drifted across the double yellow line. The vehicle traveled off the road and over a ditch north of the road. The front of the vehicle hit the opposite side of the ditch and began to overturn. As the vehicle was overturning, the top of the vehicle hit branches of a pine tree located north of the road. The vehicle came to rest on its roof.

Krepps was wearing a seat belt.

Krepps suffered minor injuries and was transported by Mount Union Ambulance to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for treatment.

Drug possession – 3:30 p.m. – Feb. 20 – Three people were charged with drug possession after a vehicle stop, according to a report from state police.

Police stopped a 2006 Toyota Corolla on U.S. 322 west for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, Sean Burke, 18, Anthony Morales, 19, and a 16-year-old male, all of Huntingdon Valley, were discovered to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Charges will be filed through Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline T. Leister’s office.

Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon

Attempted burglary- 11-11:15 p.m. – Feb. 19- Samuel Mitchell, 32, and Elizabeth Mitchell, 27, both of Mount Union, reported that unknown actor(s) attempted to enter their residence, according to a report from state police.

The actor(s) tried to gain entry through the front door of their Shirley Township residence but were unsuccessful.

Middleburg Police Department

Crash – 1:15 p.m. – Feb. 17 – According to the report, Jennifer Halcovich, 30, of Middleburg, was driving a 1999 Saturn north on U.S. 522 in Middlecreek Township, Snyder County.

Randy Ickes, 57, of Imler, was driving a 2011 Ford truck towing a cattle trailer and pulled in front of Halcovich.

Halcovich was unable to stop for Ickes and struck the rear of the cattle trailer.

Halcovich sustained minor injuries from the crash.

Police were assisted by Kreamer Fire Department.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Crash – 2:19 p.m. – Feb. 12 – Samantha Soccio, 31, of Mifflintown, was driving her 2004 Pontiac Vibe at a high speed on U.S. 22/322 in Delaware Township when she impacted the rear of a 1993 Saturn driven by Ruth McGowan, 63, of Millerstown.

The force caused McGowan to slide off the roadway, overturn and hit a tree.

Both vehicles were disabled in the crash.

Also assisting at the scene were the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Thompsontown Fire Company, and Thompsontown EMS.

Soccio will receive a citation for driving too fast.

DUI – 1:49 a.m. – Feb. 19 – According to the report, Derek Paige, 22, of Lewistown, was pulled over in Fermanagh Township after police observed him make a number of traffic violations.

Police searched his car and found empty packets of heroin.

Paige will be charged with Act 64 violation and other traffic offenses.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Crash – 8:02 p.m. – Feb. 5 – State police report investigating a crash that occurred in Milford Township.

According to the report, Christopher Walters, 26, of Port Royal, was driving his 1998 Ford Escort on state Route 322 east.

Walters hit a deceased deer that was in the roadway, causing him to run off the road and hit a utility pole. He traveled back onto the road, and finally overturned onto the roof of the car.

Walters was not injured and was issued a traffic citation.

Harassment – 6 p.m. – Feb. 13 – State police report investigating an incident of harassment in Kistler Borough.

According to the report, Jonathan Spriggs, 33, of Mount Union, drove a 14-year-old male, of Mount Union, to a residence on Poplar Street so the juvenile could fight a 15-year-old male, of Mount Union.

Both juveniles and Spriggs will receive a non-traffic citation.

Simple assault – 1:28 a.m. – Feb. 15 – State police report investigating an incident of assault in Mifflin Borough.

According to the report, a 40-year-old male, of Port Royal, was attempting to enter his vehicle after leaving the Trackside Bar.

A 26-year-old male, of Thompsontown, got into an argument with the 40-year-old, and it turned physical. The 26-year-old struck the 40-year-old with a closed fist and knocked him to the ground.

During the altercation, a 51-year-old woman, of Mifflin, attempted to take pictures with her cell phone. The 26-year-old male swiped her cell phone, threw it, and pushed the woman to the ground. He then fled the scene with several other individuals.

The investigation is ongoing.

Use of tobacco – 2:35 p.m. – Feb. 17 – State police report investigating the use of tobacco on school property in Fermanagh Township.

According to the report, a 15-year-old female, of Lewistown, and a 16-year-old female, of McClure, were discovered to have cigarettes inside the New Day Charter School.

Both girls were issued non-traffic citations.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Crash – 1:24 p.m. – Feb. 15 – State police report investigating a crash in Fayette Township.

According to the report, Matthew Aurand, 18, of Richfield, was driving his maroon 1999 Chevrolet Silverado on Cocolamus Road with two juveniles passengers, ages 13 and 10.

Aurand lost control of his vehicle and struck an embankment. The vehicle rolled onto its side, blocking the northbound lane of traffic.

No occupants of the vehicle were wearing seatbelts, and all sustained minor injuries. They were transported to Hershey Medical Center by ambulance.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Gray’s Towing.

Aurand was cited as a result of the crash.

Fayette Township Fire and EMS assisted at the crash scene.

Disorderly Conduct – 12:03 p.m. – Feb. 16 – State police report investigating an incident of disorderly conduct in Fermanagh Township.

According to the report, Barb Geedey, of Mifflintown, reported Tonya Seeger, 35, of McAlisterville, yelling at her over a bill she received from Geedey’s Towing.

Seeger was cited for disorderly conduct.

Crash – 4:06 a.m. – Feb. 15 – State police report investigating a crash in Turbett Township.

According to the report, Coltin Campbell, 19, of Honey Grove, was driving on state Route 75 south in his 2005 Hyundai Sonata when he slid off the roadway, struck an embankment and came to rest in a creek.

Neither Campbell nor his passenger, Randi Orris, 18, of Honey Grove, were injured.

Campbell was given a citation for the crash.

Harassment – 11:14 a.m. – Feb. 15 – State police report investigating an incident of harassment in Walker Township.

According to the report, Matthew David Cramer reported being harassed.

Upon investigation, police charged a 14-year-old male with harassment.

Crash – 7:54 a.m. – Feb. 2 – State police report investigating a crash in Wayne Township.

According to the report, Perry Henderson, 44, of Mount Union, was traveling south on state Route 22 in his 2000 Pontiac Grand Am.

Henderson lost control of his vehicle and hit the guard rail.

Henderson then fled the scene and went to Juniata County Blair Hospital for treatment of his minor injuries.

Henderson had a suspended driver’s license and will receive multiple citations.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Crash – 4:50 p.m. – Feb. 14 – State police report investigating a crash that occurred in Walker Township.

According to the report, William Russo, 18, of Chambersburg, was driving his 1996 Oldsmobile north on state Route 75.

Russo made a right-hand turn to enter state Route 322 when he struck a road sign and an embankment.

There were no injuries and no citations.

Animal cruelty – Feb. 13 – State police report investigating an incident of animal cruelty in Decatur Township.

According to the report, Jay Edwin Macknair, 59, of Mifflin County, neglected to take care of his donkey by failing to maintain its hooves.

The ability for the donkey to walk was hindered because of the neglect.

A non-traffic citation was filed against Macknair.

Armagh Township Police Department

Simple assault – 2:40 a.m. – Feb. 15 – Police responded to a domestic dispute at 4 Willow St., Milroy, according to a report from the Armagh Township Police Department.

Ryan Miller, of Lewistown, will be charged with simple assault, public drunkenness and terroristc threats as a result of the incident.

He was placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.

DUI – 1:52 a.m. – Feb. 14 – Police conducted a vehicle stop for traffic violations, according to a report from Armagh Township Police Department.

The driver was identified as Charles D. Fought, of Reedsville. Upon further investigation, Fought was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Fought was taken to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for blood work.

Charges are pending the results of the blood work.

Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon

Burglary – 10 p.m., Feb. 13 – 7 a.m., Feb. 14 – Checker’s Grill in Shirley Township was burglarized, according to a report from state police.

Unknown actor(s) entered the store by smashing the front glass out of the door. Once inside, $500 was stolen.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Crash – 8:20 a.m. – Feb. 10 – State police report investigating an accident that occurred in Susquehanna Township.

According to the report, a tractor trailer operated by Narcisse Kouadio, 52, of Brampton, Ontario, ran off the road

Kouadio was traveling north on U.S. Route 15 when he lost consciousness. He then hit a guardrail. The truck returned to the roadway, then hit the guardrail again; this time going through the guardrail, down an embankment and overturning onto its roof.

Kouadio suffered minor injuries from the crash.

He will be cited for careless driving.

Also assisting at the scene was DHL ambulance, Liverpool EMS, PennDOT and Keller’s Towing.

Transmission of images – Feb.6-9 – State police report responding to an event involving the transmission of sexually explicit images.

According to the report, a 12-year old female, of Mifflintown, allegedly sent explicit images to a 15-year old male, of Mifflintown.

The investigation is ongoing.

Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon

Crash – 11:34 a.m. – Feb. 10 – State police report responding to a crash in Smithfield Township.

According to the report, Gloria Jean Wilt, 66, of Alexandria, lost control of her vehicle on the 800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue and struck a utility pole.

Wilt died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Investigation continues pending autopsy results.

Act 64 – 4:00 p.m. – Jan. 28 – State police report responding to a violation of act 64.

According to the report, a male, 24, of Mount Union, was discovered to be abusing prescription drugs.

The investigation is ongoing.

Identity Theft – 10:30 p.m. – Feb. 4 – State police report responding to an incident of identity theft in Monroe Township.

According to the report, a 54-year old male, of Richfield, was the victim of the crime. He claimed that someone attempted to open an unemployment claim and file a tax return using his information.

The investigation is ongoing.

Burglary – 12:00 p.m. – Feb. 4 – State police report responding to a burglary in Susquehanna Township.

According to the report, a 42-year old male, of Mt. Pleasant Mills, was the victim of the burglary. Someone entered his residence and removed three one-gallon jugs that contained a total of about $300.

Public drunkenness – 2:15 p.m. – Feb. 4 – State police report investigating an event of public drunkenness.

According to the report, Gerald Alan Clark was discovered to be drunk in public.

Clark was cited as a result of the investigation.

Crash – 1:11 p.m. – Feb. 4 – State police report investigating a crash in Walker Township.

According to the report, Peggy Ann Bella-McKinstry, 59, of Boston, N.Y., and Scott Wilean, 46, of Port Royal, were traveling on state Route 22 and were on an exit ramp toward state Route 75. After reaching the stop sign at the end of the exit ramp, Bella-McKinstry, in her 2012 Ford Escape, hit the rear of Wileman’s 1995 Ford F150.

Bella-McKinstry was cited for the incident.

Crash – 2:33 p.m. – Feb. 6 – State police report investigating a crash in McVeytown.

According to the report, Brianna Matos, 19, of McVeytown, pulled out in front of Neil Knable, 44, of Lewistown. Matos was driving her 2001 Ford Explorer while Knable was operating a 1999 Ford F150.

Both vehicles were disabled by the crash.

Knable and his passenger, Michelle Knable, 43, both have reported minor injuries.

Matos was cited for the accident.

McVeytown fire police assisted at the scene.

Middleburg Police Department

Crash – 4:34 p.m. – Feb. 6 – Police said Valerie Leso, 41, of Shamokin Dam, fell asleep while driving her vehicle in Middlecreek Township, Snyder County. She hit the rear of the vehicle driven by Kyle Goss, 27, of Middleburg.

Leso’s vehicle had to be towed, but Goss could drive from the scene. There were no injuries. Leso was cited for a traffic citation.

Assault – 7:07 p.m. – Jan. 16 – According to police, a charge of disorderly conduct was filed against Alyson Franklin, 19, of Mount Union, for her role in a domestic disturbance at Hartman Village in Mount Union Borough.

Domestic altercation – 12:31 a.m. – Jan. 17 – According to police, Renee Ulak, 45, of Mount Union falsely reported a domestic violence incident on East Garber Street in Mount Union Borough. Ulak was charged with unsworn falsification to authorities.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Crash 12:12 p.m. Feb. 6 A two-vehicle crash occurred on state Route 35, near Jericho Road, Fermanagh Township, Juniata County, according to state police.

Matthew D. Meiser, 39, of Richfield, was traveling north in a 2002 Toyota 4 Runner and failed to negotiate a slight right curve, crossing over the center line into the path of a 1995 Ford Aeromax L9000 operated by Charles L. Ryan. 61, of McAlisterville. Ryan swerved to the right, but was unable to avoid a collision with Meiser’s vehicle and hit it head-on. After impact, the Toyota rotated approximately one-quarter turn and came to a stop partially in the northbound lane. The Ford traveled off of the right side of the roadway, striking and embankment and a utility pole, before catching fire near the front wheel area.

Meiser was wearing his seatbelt, but suffered major injuries in the crash and was transported via air to Hershey Medical Center. Ryan was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

The Toyota suffered major damage and was towed from the scene by Gray’s Towing. The Ford was towed from the scene by Baum’s Towing.

Several Juniata County EMS and fire police personnel assisted at the scene.

Meiser will be cited for the incident.

Crash – 2:24 p.m. – Feb. 1 – A two-vehicle crash occurred on state Route 35 in Lack Township, Juniata County, according to a report from state police.

Daniel D. Bixler, 49, of Herndon, was driving a 2004 Freightliner behind a 1992 Ford Ranger driven by Richard E. Veysey, 72, of East Waterford, south on state Route 75. Veysey suddenly slowed down in the right lane of travel to turn left onto Flood Drive. Bixler also began to slow down but was traveling too fast and his vehicle hit the rear end of Veysey’s vehicle.

Bixler’s vehicle suffered moderate front end damage and Veysey’s vehicle suffered heavy rear end damage.

Veysey was wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the crash. Veysey and his passenger, Sherri A. Bixler, 49, of Herndon, were both wearing their seat belts and were not injured in the crash.

Bixler and Veysey were both charged in the crash.

Criminal trespass – 9 p.m. – Feb. 4 – Dana Smith, 31, of Port Trevorton, was charged with criminal trespass, according to a report from state police.

Smith was at the home of Quentin Graham, 35, of Richfield, for a custody exchange and went into his home after being told not to do so.

She was cited through Magisterial District Judge Barbara M. Lyter’s office.

Act 64 violation 1:34 p.m. Jan. 28 Two individuals were charged following a patrol stop on state Route 322 near the Mifflin-Juniata county line in Fermanagh Township, Juniata County, according to state police.

While conducting a traffic stop for a violation, police found a three packs of synthetic marijuana a bundle of 10 packs of heroin in a vehicle operated by Carlos E. Koser Jr., 34, and Tarina I. Walker, 28, both of Mount Union.

Criminal Mischief – 5:30 p.m.-8:30 a.m. – Feb. 7-8 – State police report investigating an incident of criminal mischief in Fayette Township.

Neil Saner, 38, of Richfield, had his advertising sign vandalized. The hooks holding the sign were bent causing the sign to lay on the ground.

DUI – 8:00 p.m. – Feb. 7 – State police report investigating a DUI event in Mifflin Borough.

A male, 39, of Mifflin, was stopped for a traffic violation. After further investigation, the male was suspected to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

Charges are pending blood results.

Theft – 7:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m. – Feb. 4-5 – State police report investigating a theft at Harshbarger’s Tattoo Business.

A suspect broke into the building and stole graphic design t-shirts.

Pennsylvania State Police Newport

Crash – 8:17 a.m. – Feb. 2 – A one-vehicle crash occurred on Buffalo Terrace in Saville Township, Perry County, according to a report from state police.

The crash occurred as Christopher M. Jipson, 29, of Mifflin, was driving east on Buffalo Terrace and lost control of his vehicle when negotiating a left turn on the slippery road. The vehicle hit a utility pole with its right front bumper and continued eastbound and hit two mailboxes that were on the eastbound side of the road. The vehicle’s back end swung around counter-clockwise and flipped onto its passenger side.

Jipson, along with his passenger, Brandon L. Fohringer, 25, of McAlisterville, were wearing seat belts and suffered minor injuries.

Jipson was charged for the crash.

Crash 5:35 p.m. Feb. 7 A two-vehicle crash occurred on Juniata Parkway at its intersection with Perry Valley Road in Greenwood Township, Perry County, according to state police.

A 1995 Subaru Impreza, operated by Emmi J. Fishel, 16, of Newport, was traveling west on Juniata Parkway while a 2012 Ford Fusion, operated by George R. Yohn, 89, of Millerstown, was stopped at the stop sign on Perry valley Road. The Subaru was being operated without its headlights and Yohn failed to see the vehicle. The Ford was struck by the Subaru as Yohn attempted to turn left onto Juniata Parkway.

Fishel and a passenger, Kierston L. Adams, 16, of Mifflintown suffered moderate injuries. Fishel was wearing a seatbelt and was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. Adams was not wearing a seatbelt. Yohn was uninjured in the crash.

Both vehicles suffered disabling damage in the incident.

Police were assisted at the scene by Millerstown and Newport EMS.

Fishel was cited for the crash.

Crash – 1:25 p.m. – Feb. 2 -State police report investigating a crash in Delaware Township.

According to police, Gary Benner, 66, of Thompsontown, was a victim of a hit-and-run incident.

Benner’s car was parked in Zimmerman’s Market’s parking lot and sustained minor damage to the passenger side.

Identity Theft – 1 p.m. – Jan. 29 – State police report investigating an act of identity theft in Turbett Township.

According to police, someone used the Verizon account belonging to Elizabeth Maykut, 46, of Port Royal, to obtain a phone and data plan.

Maykut canceled the plan upon discovery.

Middleburg Police Department

Child Abuse – Nov. 25 – Middleburg police report investigating an incident of child abuse in Middlecreek.

According to police, a man’s 3-year-old child returned from a babysitter’s residence with facial bruising.

Sierra Bowersox, 21, of Kreamer, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, neglect of a care dependent person, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

A preliminary hearing for Bowersox before Magisterial Judge John Reed is scheduled for March 9.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Crash – 1:49 a.m. – Jan. 26 – State police report investigating a crash that occurred in Decatur Township.

According to police, Dennis Furlong-Hockenberry, 22, of McClure, was driving around a curve on Dormantown Road. Furlong-Hockenberry lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree, ultimately disabling his vehicle.

There were no injuries.

He was cited for the incident.

Crash – 4:40 p.m. – Feb. 1 – State police report investigating a crash in Fermanagh Township.

According to police, Steven Frank, 21, of Harrisburg, slid off state Route 322.

Frank’s car was towed by Gray’s Towing.

He was not injured.

He was issued a traffic citation.

Drug Possession – 9:51 p.m. – Jan. 31 – State police report investigating a disturbance in Mifflintown.

According to police, John Short Jr., 39, of Mifflintown, was discovered to have synthetic marijuana. Keith Sellers, 28, of Harrisburg, was in possession of paraphernalia.

Charges were filed on both individuals.

Accident – 5:15 p.m. – Jan. 17 – Mount Union police report investigating a hit and run incident.

A maroon Ford F350 was struck by an unknown vehicle on East Milford Street.

Suspicious Activity – 9:10 p.m. – Jan. 21 – Mount Union police report investigating an instance of suspicious activity on South Division Street.

Two separate vehicles were seized at a traffic stop and had search warrants executed on them. Heroin and other drug paraphernalia was discovered.

Tiffany Cave, 26, of Mount Union, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and related traffic offenses.

Cave was remanded to the Huntingdon County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Harassment – 10:45 a.m. – Jan. 17 – State police report investigating an incident of harassment in Fermanagh Township.

According to police, two male family members, ages 14 and 52, were involved in a physical altercation.

Both individuals will be cited.

Identity Theft – Jan. 16-19 – State police report investigating an identity theft incident in Armagh Township.

According to police, an unknown person used information about Ruth Kephart, 48, of Milroy, to obtain multiple phones and data plans through Verizon. The plans were immediately canceled by Kephart after discovery.

Disorderly Conduct – 8:30-10:45 p.m. – Jan. 16-17 – State police report investigating an incident of disorderly conduct in McVeytown Borough.

According to police, five juveniles threw eggs at three residences and at numerous vehicles.

Charges were filed against the juveniles.

Burglary/Theft – 8-6 p.m. – Jan. 17-20 – State police report investigating a burglary in Fayette Township.

According to police, Roy Spade, 24, of McAlisterville, entered the residence of Sandra Gill, 18, of McAlisterville, and removed property.

Charges were filed against Spade.

Theft – 4:25 p.m. – Jan. 26 – State police report investigating a theft in Thompsontown Borough.

According to police, a gold, 2003 Dodge Dakota belonging to B. Klinger, 51, of Port Royal, was stolen.

Later, the vehicle was discovered crashed on the turnpike in Lancaster County.
