Doug Pierce

Doug Pierce has enjoyed participating in a variety of sports all his life and has experienced the ups and downs of athletic competition. But he has accomplished the ultimate goal in three sports: a no-hitter in Little League Baseball on May 7, 1968, in which he struck out 16 and walked one in a game between Fairview and Pleasant Acres; a 300-game in bowling at Juniata Lanes in Mifflintown during the Thursday Night Men’s League on Feb. 28, 1985; and a hole-in-one on the 6th hole of Indian Run Golf Course on Sept. 19, 1981, while golfing with friends. He has also experienced ups and downs throughout his life (just like with sports) but works to accomplish his ultimate goal of serving Christ as a pastor and as the chaplain for the Belleville Fire Company. He continues to champion others and frequently uses sports analogies in his sermons.
