Amaris Wolfe. Miss Wolfe is a brand-new music teacher, but I’m certain she already has students who would be quick to call her their hero. Music and the arts have a reputation of being exclusive to those who have talent, but talent cannot be explicitly defined nor measured. Miss Wolfe is aware of this, and wants her students to embrace music as a means of expression rather than intimidation. I’ve watched her grow from an indrawn child to a fierce advocate for creativity and learning. To her students she is “Miss Wolfe,” but to me she is Amaris: my little sister, my best friend, and more a hero to me than words can express.
