Flickinger’s Paws and Claws LLC runs out of two store fronts, one in Mifflintown and the other in Newport.

Owner Sara Flickinger opened the Mifflintown location seven years ago, with seventeen years of experience under her belt as a Certified Professional Dog/Cat Groomer and Certified Pet Aesthetician.

Flickinger’s Paws and Claws’ LLC’s second shop is located on South Second Street in Newport. This shop was opened five years ago and is the safe place for many fur babies in Newport.

Kaitlyn Eaton, a Certified Professional Dog and Cat Groomer learned to groom on show dogs. She can also do most Breed Standard cuts and has been grooming for close to 21 years.

Both of Flickinger’s locations house talented groomers and bathers who care deeply for the animals they take care of, they pride themselves in the level of care you and your pet will receive as soon as you walk through the door. It doesn’t matter if your pet is a veteran of the groom table or in for their first groom, the entire staff will make sure your pet has the best experience ever.

Not only do they groom your pet to perfection, they also perk up your pup with a makeover with the “paw-dicures” they offer as well as providing safe, natural, made in the USA, pet retail products. They sell Raw Bar, bakery treats, CBD Oil, FroYo, frozen bones, and much more.

They also offer Thera-Clean Microbubble Baths, which can deodorize all fur babies and can help with skin allergies and coat issues as well as Argan Oil shampoo for itchy skin and smelly dogs.

Whether you need a bath, blow out, brush out, teeth cleaning, full groom, total makeover, specific breed cut, or your own style, Flickinger’s has the skill and mindset to accommodate any and all needs you may have for your fur baby.

Flickinger’s still offers nail trims for your furkids, however they are no longer available as a walk-in service, an appointment must be made in advance. We also accept cat clients at both locations.
