Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania
The Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania’s mission is to provide a home for artists throughout Central Pennsylvania. Established in 1968 the Art Alliance hosts exhibitions, guest lectures, workshops and classes for artists and art enthusiasts in Centre County, as well as Mifflin and Juniata Counties.
The Art Alliance has just opened their Community Pottery Studio, in the lower level studio. This community focused space has 7 Shimpo Pottery Wheels and plenty of room for handbuilding. Offering classes and workshops in wheel-thrown pottery for kids as well as adults, it’s a great opportunity to learn a fun new hobby!
The Art Alliance has also expanded their classroom space in Lemont at the United Methodist Church, second floor annex. The Art Alliance offers 4 to 8 week adult classes as well as weekend and one-day workshops in painting, drawing, digital illustration, stained glass, pottery, pastels and more. The Art Alliance also offers an array of weekend and one-day workshops to learn a new skill or refine techniques. With so many options, it’s easy to fit a class or workshop into your schedule!
Would you like to have studio time? The Art Alliance also offers open studio times for Figure Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking. These three hour open studios are a great way to connect with fellow artists while having the space to work on projects outside of a dedicated class. There are so many ways to connect with the Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania, your community art center.
