Flickinger's Paws and Claws, LLC now has two locations to fulfill all your pet's grooming needs. Owner Sara Flickinger opened the Mifflintown location five years ago, with fifteen years of experience under her belt as a Certified Professional Dog/Cat Groomer and Certified Pet Aesthetician. She is always working to learn something new.
The Mifflintown location has multiple talented employees, ensuring your pet is given "top dog" treatment. Rebecca Foxx, who has trained under Sara for a year as a Certified Dog Groomer is now accepting clients. Lexi Smith, Certified Pet Aesthetician, has worked as Sara's grooming assistant for years. Taylor Borhman has been the pet bather at the Mifflintown shop for the last 2 years and all the spunky pups just love her. The newest addition to the Mifflintown shop is Myranda Zelenky, who works as a part time bather.
Flickinger's Paws and Claws, LLC also has a second location, located on South Second Street in Newport. This shop has been open for three years. The Newport location also houses many talented groomers.
Kaitlyn Eaton, a Certified Professional Dog and Cat Groomer learned to groom on show dogs. She can also do most Breed Standard cuts. She has been grooming for close to 20 years. The Newport bathers are Kyle Bistline, Amanda Meek and Shelby Bowen.
This fall, Flickinger's is planning to host a Pet First Aid and CPR course on August 27. Online preregistration is required for this event. Information can be found on their Facebook page.
They also plan to partner with Perry County Animal Rescue to host a Rabies and Microchip clinic close to Halloween.
Flickinger's Paws and Claws, LLC are currently accepting new cat and dog clients at both locations. They ask that you please provide up to date rabies and dhpp (distemper parvo) vaccine information.
Not only do they groom your pet to perfection, they also offer "paw-dicures" as well as providing safe, made in the USA, pet retail products. They sell Raw Bar, bakery treats, CBD Oil, FroYo, frozen bones, and much more.
They also offer Thera-Clean Microbubble Baths, which can deodorize all fur babies.
Both shops are filled with people who just love animals to the extreme. Their compassion for them is exponential. Dogs and cats are what truly make all of the employees happy, getting to meet all of them just makes their days bright.
