Mamie Stoltzfus purchased the Walnut Cheese Nook in January of 2019, although the business has been established for about 33 years. First owned and operated by Dave Glick as a deli/bakery/bulk food store, it was then owned by Mamie's father, Levi Stoltzfus, for 18 years in addition to Elvin Ranck for almost 7 years. The cafe portion was added when the Ranck's owned the business and has since proven to be a fabulous addition. There is incredible history at the Walnut Cheese Nook, hence what makes this cafe/deli/bakery/bulk store so unique. Featured items for the café include both breakfast and lunch, café drinks, such as lattes, frappes, milkshakes, smoothies, and Italian sodas, hand dipped ice cream, fresh baked goods baked in house, and deli-meat and cheese specials every day. Primarily a breakfast and lunch spot, breakfast is served at the Walnut Cheese Nook from 7 – 11 a.m. Lunch is served till 3 p.m. However, they do serve cold cut subs, wraps, or sandwiches and salads, and more all day until closing. Walnut Cheese Nook's goal is to provide excellent customer service while keeping their menu somewhat diverse, yet simple, so they can serve their customers more efficiently.
