MIFFLINTOWN — Four-year-old Gracie Shellenberger, daughter of Megan E. Shellenberger, recently raised $573 for the Juniata County Library from family and friends.

“I have occasionally heard of people doing this type of thing before, but for a 4-year-old to do this left me speechless,” Library Director Vince Giordano said.

“I was stunned to see the effort and thought put into this that I could have hugged them and cried.”

Giordano said Gracie and her mom are regular users of the library and always visit with smiles on their faces.

“She clearly loves the library and makes that known to all around her. It was one of the nicest things I have ever seen in working in a library and possibly in my life,” the director said.
